Trott wasn't out, he hit it. Clear as day too, the umpire correctly gave him not out and he was given on appeal, ridiculous.

That's what they're saying on BBC cricket and Trott is adamant he got a bat on it. The ****s have always been jammy. You'll see play on Saturday mate <ok>
 
This is the first test.

You can say that if he fails to score in the next two.

But if he fails to score in the next two it might cost us The Ashes (given our current propensity to collapse). Like you I think he's taylor made to open but I personally think he should have been left at 5 for this series. I'd have had Trott open but I really do like Root and he is capable of scoring big so fingers crossed for the second Test.

We could do with a classic Cook second innings knock tomorrow that's for sure. If him and KP go cheaply I think we're ****ed.
