I said I didn't like Root opening. Was roundly shot down in flames.

Trott wasn't out, he hit it. Clear as day too, the umpire correctly gave him not out and he was given on appeal, ridiculous.

Can't believe what's happened, still don't think I'll see play on Saturday. Bastard.

That's what they're saying on BBC cricket and Trott is adamant he got a bat on it. The ****s have always been jammy. You'll see play on Saturday mate <ok>

I know throwing him in to open in an ashes having played in 3 tests is not the best idea. . I'd rather be wrong on the point.

    This is the first test.

You can say that if he fails to score in the next two.

But if he fails to score in the next two it might cost us The Ashes (given our current propensity to collapse). Like you I think he's taylor made to open but I personally think he should have been left at 5 for this series. I'd have had Trott open but I really do like Root and he is capable of scoring big so fingers crossed for the second Test.

We could do with a classic Cook second innings knock tomorrow that's for sure. If him and KP go cheaply I think we're ****ed.

Cook and Pieterson did well to steady the ship yesterday. They need to bat through at least the first 90 mins today. Should be another interesting day <yikes>

  14. Need to do the same again today though, as do a couple of others too.

  20. A lot of people do but the only consistent part is 'duck'. I often say 'Alrite duck' but only to people I know fairly well. I get it from others at work a lot though <ok>
