i was in the same camp as we are a poor test team to say the least and then add in lack of practice and disenchantment with the lockdown they are facing it looks like only the weather can save us from a total battering .
true. one final death match in the F1 is more interesting than watching the crickets with their bums in the air asking to be violated.

Comfortable end of day for australia where they can have a go for the fun of it or even declare and have a go at the England floundering upper order.

I'm sure the knives will be out for players bit the management needs to be fired here.
Stokes even playing is clearly scratching round for a player. How many no balls? You cannt come cold into this level and expect anything. Simple as
Stokes took time.put so was never ready here but was taken on name.
Leech, never backed at all then thrown back in to ne eaten alive. No plan for spin. Again management.
England fitness looks poor, all looming shattered after 1 day of bowling. Again management.
This could be an innings defeat here. It's actually already likely but another 50-70for final 3 wickets tomorrow and its then probable.
Theres just 3 main line seamers trying their hardest with shag all backing from butter fingers fielderd too.

Well that sounds like it went well.
Seen people saying you can’t blame leach etc, but sorry a spinner cannot be going at 9 an over in test cricket after 10 overs, that’s horrendous.
Going to be a heavy defeat this one, just hope that can at least get some batsmen some runs in second innings to give a small boost of confidence but not looking great.
Only plus side is it’s on Bt sport which don’t have, at midnight so not staying up to watch it live.

Think it’s the same for everyone though. No real red ball practise. Should still be skilled enough to be able not to go at 9s
And stokes?
No practice so is he expected to ot no ball loads of times?
In reality these.guys need to either take thier time off and not come in cold or be backed to play and be the guy and not suddenly turned to after having the entire summer watching seamers lose.
The reality of english spin is its seen as not needed and not backed so its oh root will toss a few etc.
Spin takes wickets, needs to be backed and developed not in and out.

Bowling no balls should be muscle memory. You have a run up, move it back 3 inches and don’t get so close to the line.
