Yeah, right thick thing to say.
Give them no fuel.
Hes given them all they need to have a intense first day atmosphere.
Anyway, we are root plus nobody at this point and itll take some performance to deal with that issue.
Seems they've decided that he can only play a couple tests and want him for the day night test.
So instead of getting 3 tests out of him they've set him up to play 2 and be ineffective in the final one.
Not that it matters. Whitewash incoming.

Shame. Although bowling isn’t the issue, it’s going to be the batsman that decide if we don’t get hammered

not sure who is 12th man and which bowlers are which and not too bothered putting batsmen in order either.
theres not too many runs in the openers when the pressure comes on there. That's a worry and they've gone for pope and malan. Out of these 4 you want 150 runs, maybe 200 and i don't see it.
theres a bit of hitting down the order if stokes is actually fit and buttler doesn't throw with wicket away and woakes is half decent too.
Its all about root. If he goes cheap then england go cheap.
I'd have to call that line up in bowling "similar" to each other.

Wont be all of Wood Robinson Woakes and Broad if Stokes is playing.
Id imagine one of Woakes or Wood will sit this one out, unless don’t think will turn and will then just use Root

He has been declared fit , but I read on the bbc he has a very slight calf strain .
They are managing his work load .

Sounds like will play in 3 of the 5. As it’s a quick turnaround between game 1 and 2, with 2 being night game, better off saving him for that one where ball might do more.
It looks like the last game will be day/night too

Why did we chose to bat?! It’s our weakness, your away from home. All your doing is inviting the pressure on. At least if you bowl, you can’t lose the test in the first morning but batting you bloody well can.
