As PJS has said mate we just dont get results away from home and we are trust me fooking woefull at best we are in a shocking collapse at the moment and it very much should be panic stations if you watch us regularly im sure you would agree our relegation fighting squad from the 90's would beat and out fight us the way we have been...

The survival part I understand but ambition?

If EFC were employing fat arse purely for survival reasons until the end of the season that's understandable but he's apparently looking for a money making 5 year contract, he has won nothing, lacks ambition in terms of winning trophies but oozes the appetite for relegation battles.

He's not good enough for Everton mate, especially now that there's an owner with a few bob and a new stadium on the horizon, this looks like Moshiri has given Kenwright the okay to make the choice.

I disagree, the FA shouldn't be able to fine clubs for deciding who they are going to play, the club has a squad and they can use it as they see fit. There's plenty of money in football so either place a bigger prize money incentive for the winner or give it a place in Europe. Teams will then take it more seriously.

Maybe you are right.

But the difference between pulis target of max 45 points and possible relegation at 35 points is not huge. A cup run in thier mind = -6 points or so and could relegate them even if they get a good start.

hell west brom obviously took foot off the pedal this year thinking their start meant they were sweet for the year.

If the cost of relegation is in the 100s of millions a year but the prize for a cup run is 10mil the maths will never add up is my worry.

I agree on the squad bit, but the thin end of the wedge was arsenal 8/9 years ago playing all kids in league cup and its grown and grown as an issue since.

Scratch teams cheat everyone going to the game form the league 2 fan turning up after travelling 200mils to anfield and getting to see ejaria etc not mane and salah just as an example to the local lad who's finally got a ticket for a game and also doesn't get the show.

I don't think money can solve it.

I agree with you on the point that teams should be going out there to win it. It's sad that these managers are so deperate to hold onto a job that they bottle it like this. What's the worst that can happen? You get sacked and get paid a **** load of money and probably walk into a new well paid job. Play football y'twats and enjoy it.
How do we get this through to them is the problem, money is one answer, Europe another but then they want out of Europe because they are scared it will get them relegated. Pussy culture, football is full of ****ers.

true. it now seems such an in crowd that the same failed faces are on a merry go round.

hodgson, pulis, fat slag.. hugton at brighton... pardew... its really amazing how bad it is really. I'm sure i'm missing some other obvious candidates... .bruce, redknapp...

If you want to win a trophy now they all assume that one of the mega rich will be in the final and theres no point showing up for a thrashing so don't try. 17th is good enough.

Ambition will be to pump him once survival is secured. However if he wants a plump 5 year deal....

It’s reported as an 18 month deal.
