Traoré was fourth choice number 10 behind Carvalho, Tufan and Ömür since January. His history of injuries and playing fewer games than Greaves in his whole career despite being much older meant he could barely play 60 mins a week. He didn’t have the legs to regularly play as a number 10 under Rosenior. He wouldn’t have the legs to play as a central midfielder under Walter.

His best bet is to go to Saudi for a nice payday.

Personally, sad to see the Doc is moving on....Can't say I'm surprised that Traore, Sharp, Christie are going. I thought they would hang onto Connolly for one more try. Never the same player after getting knocked into the middle of January by that Narwych keeper.. I'm assuming Sellers-Fleming will move up into the first team squad, along with the possibility of Wood, Hall and Green. Other than that it looks like a busy summer ahead.

Olly Green has been released. -

“In the Under-21s, Bora Aydinlik will return to parent club Fenerbahce after his loan spell ended, while Kyle Fanning, Nathan Tinsdale, Jack Leckie and Sincere Hall have all been offered fresh terms. Harry Wood, Jake Leake, Tom Nixon and Jevon Mills have seen their one-year options activated while Jake Brown, Ajay Weston, Rajdeep Palit, Joseph Johnson and Oliver Green will be released.”

Most of the lads going signed with us this season as U21s. None of them were particularly inspiring.

as he hasn't signed yet - just where is Wally - apparently he's on here somewhere but ****ed if I can find him

Like most have said, sad to see the Doc go, great professional and all round good guy. I wish him all the best for the future. All the best to all released, Christie never seemed to recover back to his best after injury, and Traore, even though there is a player in there, he just didn't quite make it as a regular.

No really surprised though, I thought Ollie Green might have been kept on, but other than that nothing unexpected.

Where's the "so much for the 'One Family'" outcries?? Odd that.

Sort of sorry to see Doc go. Will do a good job somewhere else. Honest player. But part of us moving onward and upward hopefully.

Bit quick with this one I think. But you always are keen to get a cheap point even if it blows up in your face. <laugh>

Said it before but there's probably a reason Christie has had so many clubs and never stuck anywhere.

I remember Christie playing against Nantes at the beginning of this season and one of their players went past him like he was stood still. His pace has gone since his last injury and he struggles in the Championship.

Even in his first season, he was way more up and down than fans talk about. He had a handful of very good performances but there was a lot of meh in that too.

We've got better, he's never really been a RB as he's defensively iffy and he's just getting older/slower. That last injury seemed to take what pace he had left.

Agreed. Scored some class goals by getting forward and even cutting inside on his weaker left foot but he was quite average defensively.
