That is realistically quite frightening, those who think the summer of changes be it players or manager will automatically give us a top spot team are deluded. There's a long hard slog ahead and promotion next May will be a bonus, just like it would have been this season. However it dosent/shouldn't make a lot of difference to fans who only wish the best for our club, patience is a virtue of so they say.
Given that we are much better structured behind the scenes now, this retained list will already be decided imo. I see no reason why they can't announce it today.
I think Johnson and Speakman will meet the players individually to discuss theirs and the clubs future plans. Both 09 and McGeady said last night that no contract had been offered. This discussion needs to take place today or tomorrow imo, so we know who we will still have at the club before bringing others in.
If Wyke leaves, for me, he’s one of a very small bunch of players from our league one era who can leave with his head held high as having given everything to get us where we need to go.
Has all the talk of Leadbitter moving into a coaching role just come from the fans' assumptions or has he spoken about it publicly? I would like it to happen but can't see anything anywhere from him to say that's what his plans are.
True to a large extent but we can and HAVE to get out of this league. Blackpool are 1 game away from doing that and have had a complete rebuild. Lincoln have 6 loan players in their first 11 too so it can be done and with resourses we should have we SHOULD blow this league away. If we don't heads should roll.
Wyke missed many more sitters for safc than he scored goals. Had a purple patch this season but absolutely dire two previous. Not one player from any of these SAFC teams who are finishing lower than promoted deserve praise from Fans i reckon.
Can be built in one day. Just need 3 wheatabix iirc. Grouting on romantic baths may be a last minute job though
Hopefully this list gets announced ASAP so we can get on with squad building for next season. Speakman said they had plans in place for league 1 and the champ if we got there. So hoping they are now identifying targets and starting to move on them. Be good statement of intent if we can get out there and not leave it until the last day of the window!
