What was that very formal, upmarket restaurant in Nelson St, opposite the pier? Seems to have gone now.

That's the one, at the time, mid 80's?, it was the poshest restaurant I'd ever been in.cercutti?
It was Cerutti, it's been converted into a house now, by a friend of mine (who now lives in it and it no longer has all wobbly floors).
Wasn’t there a 2nd one in Beverley too??
There still is, but unless you remember to book ahead, you can never get in (Tina owns Cerutti 2, it was her dad who owned Cerrutis).
£**€ me Chazz, just opened this thread to the first post and thought me n Dennis had missed a stag night!Taking Mrs R out tomorrow after she's let me get away with murder for the last few weeks. Good recommendations required. In Hull please.

It was the first ever restaurant I'd been to where the bill for two of us came to over £100 (this was a while ago, mind). And sadly it was absolutely awful on that first and only visit. The wrong starter came, which was forgivable, and the main was still frozen in the middle, which wasn't. It's long gone now whatever. That's the one, at the time, mid 80's?, it was the poshest restaurant I'd ever been in.
Tina’s the High Sherriff this year, so there’ll no doubt be even more functions going on there. There still is, but unless you remember to book ahead, you can never get in (Tina owns Cerutti 2, it was her dad who owned Cerrutis).
