It's the TV companies to blame

It actually isn't.

ITV have no choice in this matter. They're contracted to show one replay per round and can't (even if they wanted to) pass on this. They haven't bung any money to the FA for them to move it to show both, they have no choice in it. The date therefore was the only one available because of UEFAs ridiculous rule.

N.b BT Sport also have one replay per round but as no other game is available, they miss out here (and can't even show the postponed Sheffield Wednesday tie, apparently)

What a f**king shocking rule.
Yeah just seen the date confirmed for next Monday, 24 February 2014.

Blame Uefa. In saying that the FA are not strong enough to tell Platini and his cronies what to do. But actually with our squad depth it suits us better to play it monday. Brighton dont have the depth of quality that we have.

So monday it is then. Bring it on.

what do you reckon the attendance will be?

Depends on ticket prices as it will be going out Live on tv.

Live on itv4 apparently.

Correct. Channel 120 on the sky plus system.

I'd like to think tickets will be: £5 Adults, £1 children. But we all know it'll probably be £15 minimum.

Agreed. But with it being Live on ITV4 your pricing should be implemented imo. Also all those who went down to Brighton should get there ticket for a quid as a thank you.

No way will they move the repeats of storage wars just to accommodate City.

Given that it's so near Wembley and Bruce seems to be taking it seriously there should be a good crowd.
Imagine if we could beat Brighton and Sunderland and be drawn against a non-Premier League club in the semi-final!

One of the Sheffield clubs would be perfect for a Wembley semi. The Blunts or the Wendies matters not.

FFS. On the TV (apparently), possibly weakened sides due to games 48 hours earlier & nothing better for most people to do on a Monday night, so a great time to entice some stragglers who don't normally go to matches. (if those prices are correct).

Adults £15
Seniors £10
16-22 £10
11-15 £5
U10's £1

Sticking by what I said - very short-sighted by the club. They never seem to look at the bigger picture and opt for short-term gain.

I was a bit surprised by the strength of the side put out last night. Will Bruce really select such players as Huddlestone, Livermore, and Davies just a couple of days after a PL game?
