Don't forget the reason his contract was not renewed was that is was Leon Crouch who got him in , Lowe came back spat the dummy out and did not keep Np , because LC got him in the first place !!!!

I think that was the 'reason' Lowe gave for not renewing his contract. However, I believe Pearson's side of the story was that money was never even discussed. As we were his first managerial appointment I can't imagine we were paying him a lot anyway though!
Cb - don't be confused by the wums that continually post rubbish like this thread - true fans get behind their club. As you say it was never going to be easy; I will wait to see what happens in January, and Adkins' accomplishments over the last couple of years mean he at deserves to be given a full season in the prem to see if he can keep us in. If not, then so be it. But I find the disgraceful clamouring for him to be fired this early in the season here disgusting - and frankly I doubt that many of those who keep posting this rubbish are saints fans at all.

...a word of advice, if you want people to be nice to you, stop being a wum. Looking through the archives, a lot of people seem to have you on ignore - to those who have my sincere apologies for quoting this person, I won't do it again. I don't think ignoring him is the way to go though.
