We've pulled out due to concerns over his medical. Shame but it must be serious if we pull out.

Anyone think we should cancel Origis loan and have him as third choice striker now?

Loic Remy deal OFF as Reds pull out of transfer at 11th hour

Loic Remy's £8.5million move from Queens Park Rangers to Liverpool has collapsed.

The France striker was expected to be unveiled as Brendan Rodgers' latest summer signing but the Reds have pulled out of the transfer at the 11th hour.

Liverpool FC have refused to comment on why the deal won't be completed but it is believed to be related to a problem with his medical.

Remy, who scored 14 goals on loan at Newcastle last season, flew to Boston last week to link up with the squad on their tour of America after the Reds triggered the release clause in his contract.

No doubt he'l now join Newcastle like Marvaux.

Would much rather we have Orgis as a full time player, he would still get playing time in cups and off the bench in the league. The worry always is he gets a serious injury and because he is on loan they do not look after him and the injury then affects him going forward

Just read that. Doggy knees.

This makes this interesting.

Bony has probably just started smiling.

Apparently he was desperate to join

Bony that is

Okay #spineless mods we don't need 2 Remy threads especially since I broke the news ages ago in the transfer thread anyway <whistle> #ITK

thank ****. i hope it sharpens our pencils now and forces a bid for a proper striker

also i am deeply glad that this is actual evidence of a change in policy where we no longer punt of injured players.

it said it all that NOBODY put the guy in a potential first team 11 for us.

Yeah I heard that.

I'm not sure on him if I'm honest.

Heart says it wouldn't be a good move and he'd probably cost 20 mill.

Im not sure as well, wasnt about Remy either though

I don't think any sensible striker will get into the first team if we're playing 433 and Sturridge is nailed on

We need a good Sturridge cover player like Remy, and a quality RW/LW player i.e. a more experienced/proven Markovic

That's why Remy was an ideal candidate. Can play CF so good cover for Sturridge along with Lambert, but also played a lot as a wide forward so in that LW position he could rotate with Markovic.

So you think Sturridge and Lambert will be enough?

Remy wasnt a long term solution. Remy was business. get him for cheap sell him for more a year later. Like buying cars onn the cheap. If you turn up and the gearbox is ****ed you move onto the next one. Shame as would have been a useful option for a year
