As said above i cant see us signing another decent striker for 8.5mil. I think we should now take a risk on potential talents rather than the "proven" Bony or Lukaku or Rodroiguez, none of whom fit our style of play adequately enough

Dissapointed for Remy and Lfc be difficult to get another striker of that quality for 8.5 million.
-----------

Apparently we knew about his problems previous which begs the question why did we waste our time? Oh well.

Reading heart problems.

The heart issue was well known and not a problem. His knees were the unknown problem.

I thought of Benteke. Brilliant in his first season at Villa but injures ruined his second and ended his world cup hopes.

Could we got to Southampton again for Rodriquez ;)

No lol not good enough.

I'd like us to go for someone a bit better, well known.

Shame we didn't get Sanchez you know.

Bendtner is a free agent. Apparently his move to Eintracht Frankfurt fell through as his wage demands were £40k per week plus a £30k bonus for each point they earned in the league. Not that he fancies himself as a top player!!!!

I was joking about signing him by the way as he is complete pony

Just found out Yesil is on his way to Trabzanpor on loan. He got into a bit of trouble for posting a picture of his suitcase packed for the move with bundles of dollars, a handgun and a kitten as below

I'd rather have Dijibril Cisse back at the club, with his broken legs.

I was never sold on Remy and I think thus is a blessing in disguise. It would have been an okay signing but not CL material. Bony would be alright though, he is a better version of Remy.

I believe that we need to try and sign a marquee striker. I'd also like to keep Borini. He could be really useful after the season he has had. Made of glass but luckily it isn't his knees.

Thing is there aren't really any marquee out and out forwards in the market at the moment. Only players that can "do a job" up front but are at their best playing behind the striker, which is all well and good when sturridge plays, but when he doesnt can you rely on them to lead the line?

Well that's what I'm saying. I don't trust Remy to lead that line. I'm thinking maybe Bony would be better at covering that spot. I know the market is slow for forwards at the moment, but Remy shouldn't be bought for the sake of it. He's a good player and he'd probably get 15 or so goals here in the league but still...

I wasn't overly keen on Remy but it was about options. Studge, Lambert & Remy would all be fighting for one front spot.

Bony is twice as expensive for half the player IMO. We should stay well clear!

I wasn't sure on Remy so not bothered that this has happened.

Same. Wasnt really bothered either way. However selling Borini and buying Remy with £5.5m to spare seem like fantastic business to me

As long as we aren't going back for Bony I'm alright with us not getting Remy. Plenty of players out there that can score as many goals as Remy.

Use the money from Remy to get Shaqiri. We've offered £14.2 so use the 8.5 (or some of it) to up the offer. He could do the job for us. Or reus....or both

i would agree if we have bid on shaqiri and bayern just want 5 mil more... get it done.

but i'd spunk 40mil on benzema right now...
