Chelsea are set to open up talks with QPR over the transfer of Loic Remy.

Jose Mourinho has been desperately to add another forward to his squad before the transfer window slams shut on Friday. Maters where made even worse for the Stamford Bridge club when new signing Diego Costa suffered a hamstring injury in training earlier this week, however, according to The Metro, the Blues are lining up a deal for Remy.

Chelsea were rumoured to be close to agreeing a £19.8million deal for Roma striker Matteo Destro, but the deal stalled after the Italian giants ruled out a move for the player.

The French forward saw an £8.5million deal to Liverpool collapse earlier in the summer due to a failed medical, however, the 27-year-old could be sold for a cut price if he wishes to force a move to west London.

Remy would take the place of Blues flop Fernando Torres, who looks set to join Italian side AC Milan, following the ever controversial Mario Balotelli’s £16million move to Anfield last week.

Maybe rubbish but Arsenal and Chelsea could come in for Remy by Monday night. Will leave us very short up front, if Arry doesn't have a very good replacement ready

The guy is great value for one of the top clubs based on the buy-out clause. Someone is bound to come in for him.

Need to be wary of click bait websites that put stories up like this.

Remy is a name that will be chucked about with anything vaguely believable. Hope there’s no foundation in this

Personally don’t think Remy suits Chelsea’s system or Mourniho’s style because he’s not really a lone frontman and doesn’t work hard enough for Mourinho

Why is today turning into such a crap day?

Ale's injury, Harolds contract extension, Simpson to Leicester, Traore to Palace and now this.......

.....and it's not even lunch time.......

I would have thought the smart thing to do is some sort of swap deal with a bigger club that might have a half decent striker we can have on loan or buy in exchange for Remy. Say, like Lukaku before he was loaned to Everton and improved so much!

He will go Monday to either Chelsea , Arsenal or Spurs - that means we have to get something sorted for at least one more striker (who can SCORE goals) , one midfielder , and two wing/full backs - on no, can just see it again Harry hanging out of his car window talking to the tv crews ,talking about Crouch , Defoe ,Scott Parker etc etc- they set this up perfectly

According to reports in the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website, Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Loic Remy from fellow Premier League club Queens Park Rangers for a €10m deal. French media outlet Get Football News have also confirmed the news citing Sky Italia.

Lo c R my of Newcastle 008 Chelsea close to completing €10m deal, player set for medical

The report suggests that the player has agreed personal terms with the Stamford Bridge outfit and the French striker will undergo a medical for the London club during the weekend. The 27 year old comes in as an able replacement for Fernando Torres, the Spaniard who has now agreed to join Italian giants AC Milan on a two year loan deal.

Remy was earlier close to join Liverpool but failed his medical after the Merseyside giants had agreed on a £8m deal to sign the player. The dazzling striker had spent the last season on loan at Newcastle United and it was believed that the Magpies would make a move to make the deal permanent after impressive impact under manager Alan Pardew. Remy had also been spotted at the Emirates at the *** end of last season with speculations claiming that he could move to the Gunners.

Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Chelsea have indeed agreed the signing of France striker Loic Remy from west London rivals QPR, The Blues are said to have activated a 10million euros (£7.9m) clause in the 27-year-old's contract.

That's that then. Presumably as vargas still hasn't got his ****ing clearance we have Charlie who hasn't played for two weeks and probably the very ordinary Phillips up front?
Marvellous!

Let me think, QPR or Chelsea, QPR or Chelsea. I know where I would go. Remeber he had a buy-out clause, I dont think we could have done much to stop him.
