But we actually played that team at one point. Against Watford I believe.

Ten-man Newcastle extended their lead at the top of the Championship after a tough win over a spirited Watford team.

Newcastle went ahead in the 20th minute when Craig Cathcart's weak backpass allowed Marlon Harewood to set up Peter Lovenkrands for a simple opener.

But the hosts lost Kevin Nolan when he was shown his second yellow card for a foul in the 49th minute.

But as Watford pushed forward, Fabrice Pancrate sealed the win with a stunning left-footed strike in the 83rd minute.

Although not one of their most convincing performances of the season, Chris Hughton's side managed to earn their sixth successive victory of the campaign.

Newcastle once again made a confident start, with Hornets keeper Scott Loach denying Nolan in the third minute while Lovenkrands mis-hit a volley following excellent work from full-back Jose Enrique.

The Dane was on hand to give Newcastle the lead following Cathcart's mis-hit backpass to Loach, while opposite number Steve Harper watched Tom Cleverley's curling free-kick just clear his crossbar in the 24th minute.

Harper then denied Heidar Helguson after the Icelander ran clear on to full-back Lee Hodson's pass four minutes from half time.

Nolan's dismissal for a foul on John Eustace - his second yellow card following a poor challenge on Henri Lansbury - allowed Watford to mount a second-half fightback.

Danny Simpson's block kept out Danny Graham's 55th-minute shot on the turn while Helguson and Cleverley both went close.

But with Watford pouring forward in search of the equaliser, Pancrate took advantage and smashed a superb goal to claim all three points for the league leaders.

I'm missing the joke clearly. We've still got half that team, Enrique and Carroll were quality, and Pancrate scored one of the goals of the season. lol?
