Relegation means it's even more likely the Allams will be staying around.

The Allams staying might be a reason to shed a few tears.

I have been supporting and following City for about 55 years so I am well used to disappointment as the highs have been few and far between. With the players brought in and their apparent quality, I had positive expectations for this season, thinking a few wins and a mid table finish were on the cards. I cannot adequately express my frustration at our current situation and the prospect of relegation which is the result of bizarre team selections and substitutions along with incorrect tactics turning winning or drawing positions into draws and losses with the resulting loss of points. In addition and on too many occasions, we have been let down by poor player performances and silly choices. I acknowledge that injuries and bad refereeing have occurred but I feel that we could and should have overcome these setbacks.

There is great TV coverage of the Prem in Canada so I get to see most of our games but there is no coverage of the Championship, that I am aware of, so if we go down I'll be SOL next season. Mind you, not watching might be less stressful than what we have experienced this season! That said, I'll be willing the lads on against Spurs and United and hoping for survival - I'll wear me brown trousers and boxing gloves to save me nails!

Call yourself a proper supporter ? Not a chance in hell.

6 points to play for. If we go down then go down with a fight not a whimper.

Even if we had beaten Burnley we would still need points from the last 2 games. Only quitters give up. Looks like we all know what type of person you are for sure. <ok>

Watch and learn.

Lets face it, we're going down, so lets go down with some dignity, no crying faces on MOTD, accept relegation without being a girl about it, after all, does it really matter to any of us proper supporters what league we're in?
**** that. The mrs has made a special shirt for me out of 4 of my most treasured ones.
I've got a quarter Man U obvs.
A quarter City.
A quarter Liverpool.
A quarter Chelsea.

What with us going down Fat Frank and Stevie G leaving these shores then if now isnt the time for me to walk away in a flood of tears then just when is??

Of course we have a tough finish to the season and of course some fans are feeling a bit morbid but if our fathers and grandfathers had sat on Dunkirk beach in 1940 muttering, ''We're finished, we're going down now,'' we would certainly have gone down.

Two matches - one last big effort. Is that too much to ask?

P.S. No I am not deluded enough to think we are the greatest team the world has ever seen. However, this should be the greatest Hull City team we have ever seen

It clearly is asking a lot considering how pathetic the Burnley display was.

Are you one of those people who takes the chant "we're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen" as a point of fact? Have a look at our fixtures, then at the table, then at the Burnley game and then you'll understand why some fans are a bit morbid.

Get Slightly embarrassed about the one with the line about "the greatest football team the world has ever seen" but the rest of the chants seemed good fun.

Some of the posts on here should be sent to the players. Bit of a cheek telling the paying fans to do this, and don't do that. At the end of the day the players who get paid loads will determine what happens. I just hope they put up a fight rather than going down with a wimper.

I know every team chants it, but it's not exactly realistic. Furthermore, we're so against the name change and yet in that song we chant "Hull City FC". With all the bother about the rugby club and that, it seems really, really stupid. Then again, the We Are Hull (or Weirall to outsiders) one is in the same vein, because a fair few get bollocked on here for calling us Hull and not City.

Sorry Sterling, that was a quote from a "long time supporter" after the Cup Semi at Wembley last year, I just found it quite funny & exploited your post to re-post it.

I remember scores of people blubbing when we lost the return leg Division 3 play off against Leyton Orient 3.0. John Eyre got hopes up with a 1.0 win a boothferry.

Things are not that bad.
