Today is the official launch day for the PFA released player list:

It will have names added as they're announced and in the main it doesn't yet include the players being released by Premier League clubs.

At the moment it's not too exciting, but I just checked to see if it listed our released youth players(as there's been no official announcement yet) and I can only see Joe Fox on there.

Of our old boys, Richard Hinds, Jason Price and Kevin Ellison are on there and I'd expect Ryan France and Stuart Green to join them shortly.
 
Looking at that list, anyone think Aliadiere might be worth giving a trial to? He's the only one who sticks out on that list really.
 
I can't read his post but probably something along the lines of Stuart Green was our greatest ever player, I think I saw him write that before. Makes me think he's actually 12 rather than a uni student.
 
Looking at it, Medy Elito ain't bad, but will probs drop to League 2. John Akinde would be a good back up, got pace and can finish. At 6ft, could Aliadiere count as a target man? Or maybe Rory Fallon? Benni McCarthy has been released also, but I imagine his wages would be too high. Would be a cracking signing!

Surprised to see Febian Brandy on there, same youth team as Corry Evans and James Chester, now a free agent. Always thought he would come good. Marcel Seip was another I always rated.
 
Cant say I'd want Aliadiere, never particuarly done it for me. Was just looking at midfielders, Richard Hughes is on a free. I also noticed on Motd 2 that Greening played for Fulham, dunno if it was due to injuries or what. Anyway he looked in good nick and was involved in a number of good moments, could definitely do a job for us. Hopefully Sparky isnt thinking about keeping him.

McCarthy stood out on that list, but I agree, his wages are probably beyond us.

Didn't Benni get released from West Ham for been too fat?
