Now I bet that's number one on thread titles you thought you'd never see from me

He said spurs players came to him and asked him to help them get out of England duty because they didn't want to play.

To me, its obvious our level of commitment is way below even the likes of Iran.
Who are the possibilities?
Dawson, Defoe, walker. Who else player for England while he was there?

Also, average players like carragher and foster retiring seems to indicate its not limited to spurs.
 
And don't forget Rio Ferdinand going off to Qatar to commentate on the 2010 World Cup instead of playing in it. Pray to god we don't end up with him.

This is one of those unfortunate and embarrassing moment when one draws the wrong conclusion about another's post without actually bothering to read the piece. Not one's finest moment.

It is to Flyer's great credit that he seldom responds in kind to comments such as this.

Normally I ignore them but I'm completely confused by this, I don't even understand what he's on about so I couldn't reply if I wanted to!

I've only just noticed the posts on this thread and I'm somewhat taken aback. Hopefully Queens will revisit this thread and realise he has made an error and will apologise. I'm only guessing here, but due to the time difference ( 14:15 pm here, 22:45pm Brisbane ) that Queens has had a few and added 2+2 and come up with 5. I hope so anyway.
 
The guardian named the players there at the time Redknapp was there.

There were 12 England players who worked under Redknapp at Spurs &#8211; Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon, Darren Bent, Scott Parker, David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas, Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone, Jonathan Woodgate, Ledley King and Kyle Walker

Bentley for sure, I'm betting on king, woodgate too probably to avoid injury, maybe even Lennon and bent.

In fact the only ones I'd count out are crouch, walker, Parker and Defoe.

Nines (and others) you are totally correct... (f-king annoying that!)
I read the title and asumed the worst. I openly appologise to "the fly" and all others.
Im just sick of reading posts that put "Arry & the team" down after they did what we all dreamed of.
I put my hands up and say that i replied before reading fully.
Wasnt drunk just had enough TBH
We have fantastic poster ike Stan, Col & even Swords and it pains me when i read thier tainted posts because of thier personal issues..

Fair play to you QL for coming back on here and posting this apology. We all make mistakes, and at least you addressed yours like a man and didn't skulk off and hide for a week as others may have done. I hope that everyone else forgives your outburst and gives your honesty the credit it deserves so that we can all move on.

If I were Harry I think I would be regretting saying what I said. This could become a pain in the arse for some time as the inquest into our World Cup humiliation trundles on.

It's a shame that Harry didn't say anything at the time, but then going public about one of your players' lack of international ambition isn't exactly a recipe for team harmony.
