i'll be glad when AVB can play his preferred 4-3-3 formation,i think then we will see the results coming.

What I think we'll actually see:

Sir Les has played for both. When he had a short spell at Reading, he used to arrive for training by helicopter !!

I see it being closer than some expect, going for a 1-0 win but we miss a few good chances along the way to make it a nervy final ten minutes.

If there's fatigue/jetlag, we can always bring on Livermore and Sigurdsson in the second half.

 

I expect a draw, or a narrow defeat if we play Defoe up front. I'll think I'll spontaneously combust if AVB makes such an idiotic choice

 

It's striking how quickly pressure is building on AVB. Not winning this game will make it even more uncomfortable, even though he really can't be judged so far.

almost my team,except i put Bale at l/b in place of benni and defoe in AVB's favorite 4-3-3

 

the problem we've got, is that Defoe scored again for england during the week. Yes, it didn't count, but it should have been a legitimate goal and a good finish. - How does AVB drop him? it's the same as the Brad scenario.

After hearing that there's jetlag in the team, I don't think we'll start sandro or Dempsey.

and again, it won't work.

it'll be great to see us win, but it won't shut up the AVB critics. They'll just say "but they were only playing reading". - which is insulting to reading who are a good footballing side.

 

Surely the greatest insult to Reading is to remind them that both Ricky Gervais and Jeremy Kyle are from there?
