Well I was hoping someone else would do one with a bit of content but here we are, this is my half assed version...

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs/News/players-determined-sandro-14092012.page - Sandro's determined to get our first win of the season, would you start him?

Given the way the media have jumped on the mearest suggestion of someone in AVB's side being unsettled, we could really do with a good victory on Sunday to silence the critics and perhaps even get a positive article or two about Spurs in the papers. This is the first real chance for us to see what direction AVB is going to be taking us this season. Ade, Dembele and Dempsey should be able to start if needed and whilst it's still early days I think we can see a better structured more attacking side fielded.

I think we'll start:

Brad
Walker, Gallas, Jan, Benny
Livermore, Dembele
Lennon, Sig, Bale
Ade

Although I hope Dawson and Sandro start ahead of Jake and Billy G.

They played for both... Chris Gunter trying to conceal a baseball bat. Sir Les offering a smell of his armpit. Gylfi Sig. Bong <yikes> Khumalo

Nice one.

Like you said the media already seems dead set against AVB being successful, so this could be a very important game.

Its important that we see some difference in terms of personal and setup, then at least we will be justified in saying this is the first time AVB was able to put his stamp on the team.

Jake for me ATM gives away too many dangerous silly free kicks. A fit Sandro would be my preference.

Oh and Dawson all the way

I should add, that isn't my selection, it was suggested on the link I got the rest of the stuff on. <ok> ...its for debate! :)

Slowly but surely we're putting together a good match thread here.

Isn't Gunter there now? He's one for the, "played for both" section <ok>

Friedel,
Walker, Daws, Verts, Benny
Sandro, Dembele
Dempsey, Sig, Bale
Ade

That'd be the team I'd like to see, this being Friedel's last start in the league as I'd like to see Lloris start vs QPR. Think Gallas will start over Daws though. Dempsey shouldn't need much time adapting so I'd like to see how he goes from the off, if he looks a little out of shape then we've got Lennon to bring on.

Going for a close 2-1. Ade and a debut goal for Dempsey.

Brad
Walker, Dawson, Jan, Benny
Livermore/Sandro, Dembele
Lennon, Sig, Bale
Ade

is the team I'm edging towards

My instinct is that Lloris should start, but as long as he starts in our next prem game and against lazio i'll be happy with that, and I can see the sense in not chucking him against Reading after a couple of training sessions. Then again such is my faith in him, if he was looking good, I'd do it. But I'm not at the training sessions so can't comment.

The whole thing is such an half-arsed mess, mainly because of us doing our business too late again.

ATM, I'm thinking draw, but will await team sheets as normal

I think the game's come a day too early for Dempsey, if this was played on Monday night I'd back him to play, but jet lag and little training time (again) nah.

I wonder how much the Olympics and now travelling to and fro from Brazil will have affected Sandro, I'd probably go with Jake, but again seeing training is key here

Both Jake and Sandro make too many silly challenges, and i can easily see one of them being sent off by Webb unless they're very careful

maybe for once Webb won't have it in for us, here's hoping.
