- Butterfield was absolutely terrible. Really, really bad. Caught out of position several times, and he just doesn't have the pace to make up for that bad positioning. He misplaced passes, hoofed it out of play, and generally had a shocker.
- Chaplow was pretty dire. Poor passing, no tackling, no engine, no bursting runs forward. Basically pointless.
- Hooiveld had a pretty poor game.... Should have scored and then followed that up with diabolical defending for their second and absolutely Sunday-league marking for their third.

Oh, and I know we don't have pace or truly decent out-and-out wingers, but that narrow diamond formation against a wide, pacey, attacking and expansive outfit in Blackpool was just asking for us to get pillaged down the wings. And sure enough, we were done time and time again due to lack of width. The amount of times I saw them lay a through-ball out to the wings where our fullbacks had either been too narrow or too far forward, was shameful.

Gotta agree with this, we were getting raped on the flanks all game.
 
Some of you should be ashamed. Hoovield was the worst player for us by a mile. This is a match rating not season rating thread. He was WOEFUL beyond belief. He cost us 2 goals with individual errors and misses a sitter. ****ing joke ratings by almost all of you, it's as if you didn't even watch the game. Either that or you know nothing about football or rate the players like it's on how much u like them rather than performance. Laughable

No, no, no. Do you not understand? Guly must be slated whenever he does something wrong and his rating put down because of that. Whenever one of our favourites, like Lambert, Hooiveld, Lallana etc, have a poor game, they aren't allowed to be slated. That's how this forum works for some.

As I said before, everyone sees the game differently and thats what is so interesting about a ratings thread, in seeing how different people saw the game

Yes, you might not agree but it's someone else's view who saw it differently to you
 
God all you people moaning at people who gave Guly a bad rating! He had a bad game! He couldn't even challenge for a ball in the air which is pathetic considering he's over 6 foot! Also someone saying the Guly haters are blinkered? first of all i don't think they are haters (which i'm not either) but they can say he has had a bad game if indeed they think he has just like you can say he's had a good game! It's quite a hypocritical statement to call someone blinkered when in fact all the people who like Guly and stick up for him no matter what seem to be just as blinkered.At the end of the day the team weren't great,that's football! 6 points clear of third,let's get back to winning ways on Saturday!
 
Guly was our best player by a mile in my opinion. Worked tirelessly, tracked back and show some great touches. He didn't miss a sitter, it was a difficult chance. He would have had a goal if it wasn't for the woeful linesman.

Butterfield was our worst player. Absolute joke.

He was getting jumped on everytime and the ref didn't blow. As soon as Fonte jumped on Taylor-Fletcher it was blown up. The ref along with his linesman were woeful yesterday. Very inconsistant.
 
Yeah...I thought Guly and Cork were out best players. Lallana struggled to pull anything off. Morgan was alright - was never a pen. Hoovield had a stinker but when he's usually so solid, I'm happy to lose 3-0 now if he's gonna be quality again vs PFC. Sharp was unlucky with some of the offsides but his play was too slow. De Ridder gave us what we needed we he came on. Barnard and Hammond and De Ridder should have come on for Sharp, Chaplow and Butterfield much earlier and just attacked Blackpool the way they did us.

I'm sorry that just isn't true! He doesn't jump! he doesn't attempt to go for it! one moment in the first half our defence played a long ball forward and it was coming to him,he had no-one around him and i thought this is your ball Guly and what does he do? he stays completely static and invites the centreback to come and dominate him.I'm sorry,that's my opinion,i respect yours but i see it totally differently.Oh and before you say,yes i was at the game.
