Davis - 6 - Didn't seem to do a lot wrong but conceded 3 goals so can't have a high rating

Butterfield - 1 - ****ing woeful worst game i've seen him play, couldn't defend or pass.
Fonte - 4 - Okay in trying to take the ball forward, his fault for the 2nd goal but did a lot of covering for butterfield.
Hooiveld - 4 - kept going backwards and lost his man for the 3rd goal
Fox - 4 - Okay going forward constantly skinned defending though

Chaplow - 3 - Again failed to make an impact barely passed it to our players once and although not his own fault could find no space to run into.
Spiderman - 4 - tried to pass although almost always went backwards didn't win a lot of his tackles
Cork - 5 - Looked like he was making an effort although many times to little avail
Lallana - 6 - Never stopped trying today but couldn't really make an impact when no one else really really worked for him

Guly - 6 - Similar to Lallana attempted too win a few headers as well which was nice
Sharp - 3 - Always offside and has an iron chest that he simply cannot control balls into, thats usually lamberts job though.

De ridder - 5 - Tried hard but got doubled up on a lot and couldn't make an impact really.
Barnard - 5 - See de ridder

Adkins - 3 - had to deal with the late(ish) pull outs of richardson and lambert but still he played no wingers against a team with wingers its no wonder the full backs struggled.

Fans - 1000000 - couldn't even hear the blackpool fans, credit to the team.

disagree with sharp, yes he was given some offsides, but most of them, as shown by the replays were wrong decisions. Also Cork i'd give a 6, thought he was our second best player, obviously behind lallana. And Guly a 4, looked clumsy and took a long time to get going, also missed a sitter.

Think someone with more experience in our team should have taken the peno, knew as soon as he took the run up it would be an excuse of a penalty, and it really was awful.

All a bit harsh really. We didn't pass well and didn't defend as well as we can, but still managed to keep the ball for two thirdsof the game; just didn't do anything with it.

Thought the same of cork, but ask yourself what did he do? He worked hard but achieved bugger all really.

How the **** can u give Sharp a 3? were you watching the match.

put a bigger shift in then most of the other players, seemed to be milling around the ball more than anyone else. Also looked like our only player willing to run with it through the middle. Poor tactics though in my opinion, why do you go to backpool to try and control a game, when everyone knows all they do is lump it forward at any opportunity, shoulda played a 433 counter attacking style, and play hammond, cork, scheid in the middle and take off Guly.

This would of been wise.., Ince and Philips did well so it was difficult for fox and butters to deal with pace.. but sharp was isolated.. and had 2/3 players constantly stuck on him! maybe something for nigel o think about

Agree about hammond he should place most away games he likes a battle.

sharp wasnt the problem, it was the build up play too him, ridiculously slow and frustrating. with ridder and lallana we could atleast get some pace down the wings and some balls whipped across the box.

Are you kidding me?

Fox and Butterfield, now..tell me were they are fault for any goal? CERTAINLY NOT!

Hoovield made 2 individual defensive errors for 2nd and 3rd goals, and missed a free header inside 6 yards!!!! He had a ****ing complete nightmare!!!!!!!

The first goal is no one's fault. Morgan didn't foul him..

Davis - 7 - Good early on, not at fault for the goals
Fox - 5 - Below par
Hoovield - 1 - Shocking I'm afraid. To blame for 2 goals and missed a sitter. A real shame as he's usually so solid. I don't think I've ever rated him below 5, possibly even 6.
Fonte - 5 - Below par
Butterfield - 5- Below par
The defence didn't do badly, they would have got away with only conceding a penalty but for Hoovield having a nightmare.
Midfield (other than Lallana) - All short of pace, poor in 50-50s, slow to the ball, poor distribution to strikers. 5 for Cork and Morgan, 4.5 for Chaplow seeing as he is in a more attacking role and did next to nothing again..
Lallana - 7- Lively and tried until the end
Guly - 7 - Same as Lallana, worked tirelessly and won the penalty. I thought Guly showed a lot of heart today (and Adam)
Sharp - 4 - Would have been 5 but a terrible penalty loses him a point. Poor today and I really hope Rickie is back for Pompey. I read in the Doncaster programme that Sharp has 7 assists in the past 2 seasons which is worrying. That being said Billy had a good game against Doncaster.

De Ridder - 5

Adkins - I won't give a rating but will say the main error was not starting with Hammond or introducing him at half time. Other than this 451 and playing on the counter would have been much smarter imo. The players were below par though so he shouldn't be targeted

Blackpool were good today and were always going to go for it as they had nothing to lose. Reminded me of the Leicester game really, poor performance against a dangerous team with pace. Lots of criticisms could be leveled but we are still six games away from being champions.

I don't think Hooiveld should have played. It did look like he was playing with flu.
