I shouldn't be surprised that no one has mentioned Messi always blesses himself when he scores though I would be interested to know if he has ever received abuse for it. For most The Rangers fans I suspect it's a reaction that would only be applicable to a Celtic/Scottish team player and it does not represent an instinctive hatred/fear of anything symbolising catholicism/republicanism.

Of course I am basing this on the belief that monacoger and chapper are in the minority

If anyone cared I am currently on my phone at Heathrow airport and in less than two hours will be heading for sunnier climates, the point being that in a short time I won't give a **** to check for replies. Happy new year all tims and huns
