If Rangers fail in this round it is out of europe altogether...

If Rangers get through and fail in the next qualifier then it's Europa Lge!

Malmo have reached a European Cup final, something that Rangers never will!

Before anyone says it. No interest in religion (Celtic, or Rangers). Just laughing at football north of the border where players would rather sign for crappy Welsh teams than supposed Champions!
 
I could have sworn it was reported on BBC that if Rangers lost, they still drop into the europa qualifiers? And even then, as much as that result and scorer has made me smile, I still think they should beat Malmo away.

Unless the bastion of factual correctness Premier Sports a.k.a. Setanta got it wrong, as they mentioned it a few times in the post match interviews - and when Celtic got put out a few years back against Bratislava it was at this stage. But they might have changed that with the shake up two years back.
 
Yeh I think it's different now Mick, what with the seperate qualifying routes for champions and non champions.

In fact just checked UEFA and got this - The ties will be played on 26/27 July and 2/3 August. The losing sides will go onto the UEFA Europa League play-offs while the winners will compete for a place in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

If Rangers fail to win against Malmo they go into the Europa League play-off round.

If they beat Malmo but get put out in the next round they go into the Europa Group stages.
