All over SSN that a second London hotel has 'declined the opportunity' to host Glasgow Rangers EGM and that it will now take place at Ibrox.

2 things made me chortle regarding this;

1.That it was being held in England. Chortle factor-7.

2.The reputation of the bunch of heathens is that poor no ****er will touch 'em with a barge pole. Chortle factor-9.

It's all about the hotels getting threats from unhappy fans. Rangers are saying some of their supporters are so aggressive & mad about what's gone on that they(the board) want to hold this meeting as far away from Glasgow as possible.

I've never understood it in the context of meetings either, various institutions and clubs I've been a member of had EGMs to set and agree finances for the year, outside of the AGM as a standard approach. Never felt like they were beyond ordinary as we expected the ****ers. 6 months after the AGM.
