Was anyone else amazed to see Ranger come on even if it was only for the last 10 minutes. I know we are down to the bare bones, But what kind of message does this send out?

I thought Pardew wasn't letting him anywhere near the first team until he had upped his game and attitude considerably.

Does this mean that Ranger has redeemed himself so soon, or has Pardew had to lose face, if so this is pathetic.

Honestly Pardew has the breaking strain of a wet lettuce, l would rather play with ten men then have Ranger come on to the field after all his stupid antics.

The other players on the fringe of the team, must be well pissed off to see that clown coming on ahead of them.
Must be brilliant for morale, l am speechless.
Apart from this debacle, it sounds like we were a bit brighter, even though we could not hang on to our lead.

Sorry, but Ranger was blessed with the gift of being a footballer. Being paid thousands of £'s a week.
He blew it, big!

So unless he's been like Messi of late in the reserves. Then he shouldn't be even wearing our great shirt.

Personally would have preferred to see them roll Adam Campbell on in a wheelchair... But hey ho, he should have made subs before he did which would have meant Ranger wasn't needed...

If it was necessary to play Ranger, fair do's, but to make a cameo appearance after his behaviour, poor decision...IMO!

Couldn't agree more, Matt, the message this sends out is just plain wrong. Pardew's decision making of late has left a lot to be desired, but, his decision to even have Ranger on the bench is a big error of judgement.
Ranger must be pissing himself laughing. Pardew needs to grow a pair!

If he'd bagged 2 goals to win us the game tonight would we even be having this discussion?

He's been a **** in the past, but is a decent player!!

Made my feelings clear previously. Regardless of whether he has now fallen in line he should have been sacked a while back.

I can understand him getting on though now they haven't sacked him. By not sacking you are saying you are keeping him so you have to use him. Makes Ashleys decision to moreorless sack Barton look like a pathetic vendetta.

I'm not going to judge Pardew for this as none of us know what Ranger's attitude and performances have been like at training.

What we do know though is that the club is short of players, and we've got another game in a few days.

Different Ranger.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is understood to be in negotiations with Rangers for naming rights to the Glasgow club’s iconic Ibrox Stadium.
The proposed deal would lead to one of football’s most famous stadiums, which opened in 1899, being renamed the Sports Direct Arena to promote Ashley’s sports retail empire.
Rangers have been exploring image rights deals since the Charles Green-led consortium took over the troubled club last June, shortly before they were demoted to the Third Division.

Totally agree, he should never play for the first team again. If we insist on keeping him loan the knob out to a lower league club.

I dont care about players off the pitch as long as he's good enough!!! look at Jonas and Williamson both are lick arses but they are also ****e and always will be.

Also I'd like to point out he'e a young lad from a rough place so hopefully he'll grow up a bit. I stole cars, got arrested for handling stolen goods etc etc etc but thankfully I was given the support I needed to change my life and I did. This lad is a good footballer so he's on the verge of doing more than any of you finger waggers ever has and will.

Should have been bulleted but that is not for Pards to decide to be fair. They gave him a rule about turning up on time for 6 weeks in a row before they consider him for first team action. I can only assume Nile has bought himself an alarm clock and someone has shown him how it works. Obviously if Ashley is telling Pards he is not getting released and he has to manage him, Pards and staff set the rules and he follows them, they have to then carry through on their word.

We shouldn't kid ourselves, many of the players will like him so would lose respect for Pards if he didn't stick to it.

Its galling Ashley didn't have the balls to do the right thing.
