No, people have been obviously been changing their vote on the current poll. I've even added an extra option in "unsure". The majority of the people who have voted are regular posters anyway so a new poll really wouldn't achieve much other than annoy Chilco.
Where are these 169 posters? I reckon we have about 30-40 regular posters. The inclusion of votes made many months ago, by people who don’t come on here regularly, make real time assessment meaningless. But I wasn’t seriously suggesting a new poll, it’s a touchy subject on here and you know how I’d hate to offend anyone. I can’t believe that some suggest it’s a small minority of fans that want Ralph out.
Are you worried it will show diminishing support for Ralph? If you’re comfortable in your opinion why would you worry how many people agree with you?
As I repeatedly say, it doesn't matter what a few of us here think, it won't influence what the board does. Let's just wait and see, and try and support our team regardless
Agreed. All my mates, except one, were always Ralph in, and now I'd say pretty much all are Ralph out. Also, Sports Republic won't be sacking Ralph based on what the fans think. They are openly very data driven and will be analysing what Ralph is getting out of each player compared to what they'd expect. That, twinned with the points return from our first 15 games (up until the WC break), is highly likely to determine whether he goes or not.
Come on most days, but rarely post. I only do when I think I might actually contribute! (That's not a dig at anyone, just my lack of anything valuable to say)
Yeah, they won't be making emotional decisions, they'll be analysing the stats and deciding whether the points total after 15 games is a reasonable return. Because no decision will be made before the WC, nor should it be imo.
Many people don’t want to keep saying the same things. It does not matter a minority or a majority have a say it is their right. Small or large it makes no difference on this forum. ALL SHOULD HAVE EQUAL SAY.
I don't think I've raised much of an opinion on rRalph so far, but coaching wise he is an enigma. He believes in automations, which is fine in a predictable world, but we often play against creative players and that is often where automations fall down. You can predict behaviour by using data well (incidentally only man city and Liverpool do this to any degree of success and even then their AIs are extremely basic), but it only gives you likely behaviour. I often watch us play and see us undone by poor defensive positioning, not being proactive and intelligent in our decision making (something you see in spades with someone like Virgil van dijk). Equally the automations make us predictable going forward. At the same time, you can see how installing particular decision making patterns can make an average player decent. And when some strategies are actually executed properly, they can be very effective. As others have said, they involve risk and that requires belief and confidence. So we can expect Ralph teams to be streaky. Either very good or very bad.
This happens to be why I think he's more likely to be sacked without a real run, to be honest. With the publicly-available data at least, there's some real backsliding in our performance. I tend to think that has more to do with our forward/midfield players than Ralph, but those things tend to fall on the manager.
I agree - they will be more data driven than the club has been historically (that's a general sport trend anyway). And Henrik Kraft was a partner at KKR and they don't f*ck about. Data will help paint the picture, and I agree a) they will have a shortlist of potential replacements and that b) they wouldn't exit Ralph without a good indication that they can appoint an upgrade replacement. They won't bin Ralph and wait to see who else apart from Big Sam crawls out of the woodwork.
Probably not. I’d suggest that barring a miracle it is all over bar the shouting. It’s difficult to see anything other than two defeats in the next two league games. Three league defeats in a row leading into the World Cup and barring some crazy results likely us sitting jk the relegation zone
Yep, first time I have said it but he has to go now. Such a shame as he has done a good job for us until this season. If we keep him we go down, simple as that.
