Out of interest why do you read the Daily Mail? Surely you must find the weekly Princess Diana death theory pull outs a bit boring by now?
Thats the Daily Express mate!

Out of interest why do you read the Daily Mail? Surely you must find the weekly Princess Diana death theory pull outs a bit boring by now?

I was only standing up for myself and Millions like me that read the Daily Mail. I always have to chuckle when lefties who spend all their time preaching 'tolerance' are completely intolerant themselves. It is rank hypocracy and to condemn a whole section of society as being racist without a shred of evidence is just plain stupid, wrong and insulting.
This is at least the second time you've made reference to the size of the newspapers circulation. Do you think that because a lot of people like something that automatically makes it ok?
People have a whole range of reasons for reading a paper so I'm not about to judge the entire readership. However, this paper preaches intolerance on a grand scale and I find it quite disturbing that so many people do read it to be honest because I'd be pretty sure that not everyone only buys it for the TV pages, Femail or the sport.
Do you realise how offensive that is to Chinese people?
Consider yourself reported and under the surveillance of Scotland Yard.

shouldn't the dolmio adverts be banned for being racist?
Here we are with the intolerance thing again! Because you don't agree with something does it make it OK to be intolerant towards others who do?
Believe it or not there are large numbers of people who hold different views to yours. If the Guardian is such a wonderful paper, why doesn't it have mass appeal?
I don't think i've said anything that's intolerant at all. I just said i find the Daily Mail to be intolerant and genuinely believe that lots of the views expressed in that paper are. I haven't said anything about the people who read it other than i find it disturbing so many do. I think Harry Potter books are dreadful and it disturbs me so many people have read them, and class them as the work of a genius - it doesn't mean I don't like the people who read them any more than I dislike daily mail readers.
I am quite happy that people have different points of view to mine but that doesn't mean i can't dislike their views whilst still liking the person.
If you care to find a post where I've said that about the Guardian then please point me to it because it would be news to me to hear that i think that. The Guardian's the polar opposite of the mail and equally comtemptible in my view - I don't like any form of extremism.
Oh and i see once again you're on the line of reasoning that says if lots of people like something it's great or acceptable and if hardly anyone likes something it's not. I didn't get it first time and i donlt get it now - what has popularity got to do with whether something is good or not? It's personal taste surely.
Dan you said that you find the views in the Mail intolerant but this is just your opinion and if that's the way you feel then fair enough. If something is popular then surely it must be good otherwise it wouldn't be popular! I don't hate people that do not share my views but what I did take exception to was being labelled as a racist by someone who doesn't even know me!
Don't worry Dan, JWM would never let the truth get in the way of a good reply! There is plenty of documented evidence of misinformation printed in the Daily Fail, I feel sorry for their readers that believe every word they print!
Welcome to our board by the way, it's nice to see a well-behaved visitor, something we're not really used to!![]()

X Factor and Big Brother are popular... so they must be good.

Dan you said that you find the views in the Mail intolerant but this is just your opinion and if that's the way you feel then fair enough. (1) If something is popular then surely it must be good otherwise it wouldn't be popular! (2) I don't hate people that do not share my views but what I did take exception to was being labelled as a racist by someone who doesn't even know me[!

Oh but of course the BBC and all the other media groups always tell and print the truth!
Come on Dave...!
Listen everybody on here has at sometime been correct (apart from Rob when he basically implyed i am a borderline racist for saying Hughton plays dull football, but then that shows what a proper dick he really is). racism has no part in modern society, and hopefully whoever made the comments whatever they are will be dealt with.
1) Eastenders, Emmerdale, XFactor, Bros, Stock Aitken and Waterman, pretty much anything that has been in the top 10 best selling books or best watched films over the last 10 years - do you see my point now?!
2) I sincerely hope that is not aimed at me. I said nothing of the sort. If it wasn't then fair play and apologies![]()

No Dan the last comment was in no way directed at you
The point about being popular is that of course it is subjective! One man's meat and all that!
