I was only standing up for myself and Millions like me that read the Daily Mail. I always have to chuckle when lefties who spend all their time preaching 'tolerance' are completely intolerant themselves. It is rank hypocracy and to condemn a whole section of society as being racist without a shred of evidence is just plain stupid, wrong and insulting.

This is at least the second time you've made reference to the size of the newspapers circulation. Do you think that because a lot of people like something that automatically makes it ok?

People have a whole range of reasons for reading a paper so I'm not about to judge the entire readership. However, this paper preaches intolerance on a grand scale and I find it quite disturbing that so many people do read it to be honest because I'd be pretty sure that not everyone only buys it for the TV pages, Femail or the sport.

Here we are with the intolerance thing again! Because you don't agree with something does it make it OK to be intolerant towards others who do?

Believe it or not there are large numbers of people who hold different views to yours. If the Guardian is such a wonderful paper, why doesn't it have mass appeal?

I don't think i've said anything that's intolerant at all. I just said i find the Daily Mail to be intolerant and genuinely believe that lots of the views expressed in that paper are. I haven't said anything about the people who read it other than i find it disturbing so many do. I think Harry Potter books are dreadful and it disturbs me so many people have read them, and class them as the work of a genius - it doesn't mean I don't like the people who read them any more than I dislike daily mail readers.

I am quite happy that people have different points of view to mine but that doesn't mean i can't dislike their views whilst still liking the person.

If you care to find a post where I've said that about the Guardian then please point me to it because it would be news to me to hear that i think that. The Guardian's the polar opposite of the mail and equally comtemptible in my view - I don't like any form of extremism.

Oh and i see once again you're on the line of reasoning that says if lots of people like something it's great or acceptable and if hardly anyone likes something it's not. I didn't get it first time and i donlt get it now - what has popularity got to do with whether something is good or not? It's personal taste surely.

Dan you said that you find the views in the Mail intolerant but this is just your opinion and if that's the way you feel then fair enough. If something is popular then surely it must be good otherwise it wouldn't be popular! I don't hate people that do not share my views but what I did take exception to was being labelled as a racist by someone who doesn't even know me!

Don't worry Dan, JWM would never let the truth get in the way of a good reply! There is plenty of documented evidence of misinformation printed in the Daily Fail, I feel sorry for their readers that believe every word they print!

Welcome to our board by the way, it's nice to see a well-behaved visitor, something we're not really used to! <ok> ;)

X Factor and Big Brother are popular... so they must be good.

Oh but of course the BBC and all the other media groups always tell and print the truth!

Come on Dave...!

Personally I find the Daily Mail hilarious. Sadly it's gone a bit more mainstream over the last few years, so there's no longer anything about one-legged lesbian romanians coming over to our country and taking all our benefits, but it still comes up with some comedy gems.

Dan you said that you find the views in the Mail intolerant but this is just your opinion and if that's the way you feel then fair enough. (2) I don't hate people that do not share my views but what I did take exception to was being labelled as a racist by someone who doesn't even know me[!

1) Eastenders, Emmerdale, XFactor, Bros, Stock Aitken and Waterman, pretty much anything that has been in the top 10 best selling books or best watched films over the last 10 years - do you see my point now?!

2) I sincerely hope that is not aimed at me. I said nothing of the sort. If it wasn't then fair play and apologies <ok>

Listen everybody on here has at sometime been correct (apart from Rob when he basically implyed i am a borderline racist for saying Hughton plays dull football, but then that shows what a proper dick he really is). racism has no part in modern society, and hopefully whoever made the comments whatever they are will be dealt with.

Right. I've had enough of your consistent lies, misrepresentations, hypocrisy and false pleadings of innocence.

Not once did I accuse you of racism. You have completely invented this. I said you were a bigot- bigoted in your opinion against Norwich City and bigoted in your opinion against Hughton and that no arguments or clear evidence against your opinion would sway you, which is what a bigot does - they hold one opinion despite all the evidence. I even specifically stated that I was NOT saying you were a racist, so you have flat-out lied.

As for your perpetual squeals that I am "abusing" you - well look no further than this thread and posts from WellyBlue, JWM and your own that I have quoted for who the real abusers are.

I've had enough of here because of you and your little campaigns.

I had been happily posting for two years. I got in one petty, acrimonious argument with Munky of which I'm not proud a few months ago. I believed (or perhaps hoped, but I've seen nothing to the contrary) that it has been amicably resolved and is water under the bridge - Munky certainly has been a good man about it. However, I had to endure you and your malicious clan stirring and bringing it up just because you are unpleasant enough to delight in causing arguments. With your typical campaign techniques, despite two years of posting without problems, you have painted me as some sort of argumentative type from that one instance.

I then witnessed an incredibly unpleasant campaign by you and JWM to try and engineer Canary Dave's resignation. At every turn you resorted to nasty, underhand tactics - whenever you were called out as being a WUM you then squealed that Dave was "censoring" the forum. You consistently turned any of your little wumming campaigns into painting yourselves as the victims, despite knowing full well that you were the ones that were escalating it all the time. Dave ended up having to appeal to the forum because your abuse in telling him that no-one wanted him as a forum mod. Eventually, the right thing happened and you were banned.

Unfortunately, being the sly and underhand little brat you are, you squealed and screamed that it had been unfair and painted yourself lily-white, promising not to WUM again. And yet, you've persisted. I've called you out a number of times and we get exactly the same tactic from you - "I'm the victim", "Rob's abusing me", "you're spoiling a good banter thread". All this despite the fact that I had been on the thread having perfectly reasonable banter with others until you arrived. Other Ipswich posters like White Horse manage to know limits and be amusing, you just want everything played by your own rules.

In this case, you won. I've now had two independent and bewildering attacks from Norwich fans (who had otherwise been perfectly pacific to my knowledge) well removed from any dispute from you. At that point I think it's clear that it is time for me to call it a day. I don't blame NCGandy, though I asked him to explain why he attacked me and he refused. The fact is it must have been down to my dispute with you and your targeted campaign.

I am well and truly out for good, final word. The vast majority of Norwich posters on here I 've got nothing but good words to say about, my sincere apologies to all of you if calling out Guru became irritating - I had hoped it would be limited to one thread, but as you can see it now follows me everywhere and that's not fair on everyone just wanting an interesting read.

So back to you lot. I'm sure Guru will manage to paint himself as the victim, but I have no doubt you're all smart enough to see through it.

I'm excited about the next match and the rest of the season, so I'm going to focus on that. OTBC

No Dan the last comment was in no way directed at you <ok>

The point about being popular is that of course it is subjective! One man's meat and all that!
