They made a right mess of it. They indirectly called Spurs fans using the Y-word as "mindless" that other fans shouldn't have to put up with. I'm sure it was unintentional but they really could've done a lot more to explain the situation to us, these kind of statements do nothing except raise more questions for the fans.

Was the "mindless" bit in previous press releases about abusive supporter behaviour ??
It looks like the Y word stuff may have been cut and paste into a previous press release
(hence the way the current stuff reads) .

Their fence-sitting stance is doing the most harm. In a previous release they said the club will not comment so not to prejudice an ongoing court case, but by doing so they're leaving fans at the mercy of overzealous coppers looking for an easy afternoon's work and a nice little bonus for banging up a couple of fans on trumped-up charges (which didn't occur to them when they were escorting West Ham fans to WHL back in October, strange that...)

The Police have also confirmed to us that they will be adopting a zero tolerance approach to all forms of anti-Semitic abuse, as well as anything considered to be foul, abusive, homophobic or racist.

We therefore ask all supporters, both home and away, to be mindful of their language and behaviour at White Hart Lane.

The Club does not tolerate discrimination of any sort, on the pitch or in the stands, and the Police and our stewards shall take action against anyone heard using abusive, offensive or obscene language.

You do not have to put up with mindless supporters who are intent on ruining your experience with us, so use the system, report the individuals and let us take it from there. We will treat your correspondence in strictest confidence.

For our staff, it is better to monitor the problem as it is happening as we can view the area of concern on CCTV and deal with everything quickly.

The Texting Service has been used to good effect in enabling us to ban people for committing offences on matchdays in the past.

We have a fantastic atmosphere at the Lane and we hope everyone continues to focus their energies on cheering the team on.

We do, however, have to put up with mindless directives that only exist because of some jumped-up QC with an agenda has been given credence even though his argument is nonsensical, biased, and ignorant.

I think you're right actually. What a stupid thing to do though. Announcing that the police are going to continue warning and arresting fans could do with a bit more attention than just adding it into a stock statement, especially since it's the police that will have told them to notify the fans.

I used to be blond and blue eyed.Well,I'm still blue eyed! I'd hate to be caste in the same group as an Arayan Nazi!
Anyway,I was always under the impression that the "blue eyed blondes" originated from the Vikings and their areas.......
 
Have geneticists worked out a rough timeline yet as to when the blonde hair + blue eye
traits appeared in humans ??
