I am quite happy for the pundits to keep writing us off rather than taking us seriously. No-one expects us to continue our good run of results, which is fair enough. It keeps the pressure off Pardew and the boys, and even us fans aren't getting carried away.

It was nice to see Paul Merson getting our result completely wrong, AGAIN.

Maybe we should have a sticky thread called Merson Watch, that tracks his predictions of how NUFC will do each week and compares our true league position to the position that we would be had he been correct.
So far he has predicted

NUFC v Arsenal...........................1-2
Sunderland v NUFC......................2-1
NUFC v Fulham...........................1-1
QPR v NUFC...............................2-1
Aston Villa v NUFC......................2-0
NUFC v Blackburn.......................1-1
Wolves v NUFC..........................2-1

With a success rate of 0% Merson would have bottom of the league with 2 points from a possible 21. In the real world world we are 4th with 15 points from 21.

I just wish there was an opportunity to question him on it and see what he says!

Cabaye doesn't deserve to be in there. He was good, but Tiote, Saylor and Krul were all better IMO <ok>
 
Can't believe Krul didn't get performance of the weekend. So Johnson scored a hatrick, Krul stopped Wolves scoring 4.
 
Anyone else see Garth Crooks on Football Focus this weekend mentioning the amount of Newcastle fans who'd emailed in to him to complain about the lack of Toon players getting in his TOTW's? Nice to see he's taking the criticism on board and also nice to see pundits Merson and Lawrenson wrong AGAIN. Guess it's gonna be pretty standard for Merson to predict a Spurs win after they beat Arsenal, but I reckon Lawrenson will play it safe with a draw, so I take it from that we're gonna beat them! :)
