Fair enough but you do seem to assume that Atheists must have a theory on how life began. Why? I didn't realise that was part of the deal when I signed up to be an Atheist. I guess I should have read the smallprint.

curiosity and wanted to see what would be the result

as I said there tends to be a lot of what imo is ridicule of religion and those that 'believe'
It was interesting to see what the result would be to ask the question

and the result IMO is that the 'athiests' get more outraged and aggrieved. obviously there are exceptions to the rule

as mentioned we have been through this
we got here because of a creator.
what created the creator? that is indeed a debate, however it does not negate a creator
You cannot answer how the universe was created but it exists

You see the problem you have is that you believe that there is a creator and no amount of evidence provided to you, even by the greatest scientific minds in the world will make any difference to you. Many of us in this thread have provided you with theories, answers and facts regarding this issue and you have chosen to ignore every single one of them.

You are closed-minded and frankly, as I alluded to, come across as someone with a form of autism, possibly Asperger's syndrome, as you can talk about complicated issues in general but are totally unable to grasp the smallest of details.

If you are adamant that there is a creator and refuse point blank to accept any other possibility what is the point of discussing the subject? Even when it's pointed out to you that at molecular level things pop in and out of existence with no evidence of their creation you simply choose to ignore it.

So what's the point?

Stereo admitted he liked Norwich City more than Celtic the other day and then said that Paul Lambert is Celtics greatest ever player

You are right about one thing, Atheists can be just as outraged as the most most fervant religious person which is quite funny.

Some people seem to treat Atheism itself as their religion which is kind of scary.

to be honest IMO there are 2 types of athiest

1 as you suggest
2 those who claim athiesm but are in fact anti god, as he takes up more of their time than those that believe in him

these i believe have athiesm as a 'religion'

I do not know what or who you are, i just hope you get cancer and die a slow painful lonely death............. And this isn t a joke, i sincerely hope you get a brain tumour ......

only to avoid being labelled as creationist.

Which you clearly are, which makes me wonder why you object to the label.

no by saying to other posters that you are addressing crap/bullshit hence ridiculing the belief of others

When I say that I'm addressing crap or bullshit then I actually am doing just that.
I do it when people bring up 'facts' that are clearly anything but.

because based on what we know everything has an origin

That's clearly not true.
What's the origin of matter, energy, time or, in your case, god?

isnt the general definition of matter ending in '....the issue of matter remains a theoretical construct."
besides the issue is it had to come from somewhere, as nothing is ......you know the rest

Matter isn't a theoretical construct, though different scientific fields do disagree about what constitutes matter and it's exact definition.

Why did it have to come from somewhere?
That's a claim that you repeatedly make without backing it up.

the knowledge that something doesnt come out of nothing

And what makes you think that it came from somewhere?
Why couldn't it just be here?

a claim embedded in the fact thta as we know it everything has a point of origin/creation

Clearly untrue.

never claimed it was

You asked if monkeys had a third eye, which clearly implied that this was needed for the third eye-lid.
Why mention it otherwise?

sorry you are treating it like a creationist argument
Darwin had a theory for the development of the eye, that is true. But the eye does not support his natural selection theory
and it still defies explanation. The theories that exist are just theories (and not in th escientific theory sense). I suggest YOU read the article you linked

No.
You're wrong.
You're clearly, utterly wrong and either unable to understand it or accept it.

You still don't understand what a scientific theory is, either.

yes and leave more questions than answer

No.

More assumptions?

No.

as mentioned we have been through this
we got here because of a creator.

No.

Did you come to religion late in life Fanboy? You have the nagging qualities of born again types.

I'm a life long non-believer. Sat at after school club having to sing prayers before getting orange squash and biscuits then having to sit at the feet of some old bag reading stories from the illustrated bible. Stood holding the flag at church parade at 8 years old listening to a man in a dress babbling on about good and evil. It never made sense to me at the time and still doesn't.

Over the years I have heard every faith say that theirs is the best and that their god has all the answers but it is the same myth in different clothes to me.

Who created the creator? Me, it was me and I am God's dad. But who created me? Ah, now that is tricky. No, it was me again, I'm sure of it. The one before that was my uncle but I definitely created him so that puts us back at square one. But as I created square one where does that put us?

There must be at least another week of this sh*t to go, keep up the good work.
