Match Preview;
Here it is, the 5th round of the FA Cup. So we welcome high flying Watford to Loftus Road, daring to believe that we can overcome the odds and beat our Premier League opposition to reach the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup. Watford have impressed this year, and sit in 8th place on 37 points from 26 games. Their top scorers are Deeney and Pererya on 6 goals each, but a number of players have chipped in with 3, 4 or 5 each so they are dangerous across a number of positions.

As for us, I am hoping we can count on a rocking atmosphere, under the lights at Loftus Road. Let's hope we see a response from the players and a continuation of our cup run after the disappointment of the Bristol City match. From all I have read about the City match it seems we were ineffective and despite being unfairly beaten by a weak penalty decision, we weren't great. A similar display on Friday evening and I worry that we'll be heading out the cup.

Couldn't find much in the way of team news, so I'll update more when on the official, otherwise others can add if they know more.

COME ON YOUR SUPER HOOPSA!

Also, please oh please can we not have the usual responses of, 'here are some pics of local ladies...' I lived in Watford for 4 years. Left in 2008. I'm just getting over it.

I have just listened to Mcclaren's post match interview.

After being "twice hit by sledgehammers" I hope that the R's will be motivated and even angry to finally get a positive result. The events of the last two games may actually now work in our favour.

As for the team, it seems that Mc Claren believes that the 3-5-2 formation "suits our style of play". It is solid at the back, gives us width and the opportunity to play two upfront. I would not be surprised to see it on Friday evening.

I remember a bleak evening there back around 82, must be the 4-0 you mention Dave.

Seem to recall going to their place for a League Cup tie early 80's (?) and losing 4-0 and sitting in that quaint little stand that only covered half the length of the pitch........

For absolutely no reason what so ever I'm looking forward to this one, no pressure simply have a go at them, we've been playing well(ish) just not getting the breaks, this is very doable.......

Less than a dozen tickets left now........the old girl should be rocking.......full house, under lights, could be one of the great nights

I just hope we are not too knackered after basically playing the same 14 or so for weeks...…. and that sending all the youngsters out on loan doesn't backfire and we play well and run out of steam. Thought yesterday would have been perfect for Oteh, Samuel, Chair etc etc to give Freeman etc a rest.... .

Think we sat in the little stand but moved to one high up on the side 2nd half when it had stopped raining.

I'll be arriving at Stansted just before kick-off. Bloody TV-****ers!
Charlton-Blackpool on Saturday could be interesting, but not really a consolation. £5 a ticket helps, though. I was expecting about £20-25.
Come on u Rss! I have promised the boy that we'll book flights for the quarter-final on Monday.

It's on bt sport 2 I believe. Ffs

You would hardly know it from watching their European Cup coverage the last 2 nights, all they plugged during the games were their next UEFA Cup ties tonight and next weeks European Cup ties, the FA Cup wasn't mentioned except for a brief advert during Half Time......
