The highlight of their season so far has been a 3-0 win over South Wales rivals Cardiff City back in October. Their top scorer is Joël Piroe with 13 goals, followed by Jamie Paterson with 8 goals, then further down the list, Manning also has 2 so far this season. As for us, the last time I felt this kind of a buzz as a supporter was back in 2011. It seems we are playing with grit and determination, and the team is giving 100% in every match, which shows itself in the number of last minute winners that we have scored. Lovely stuff. Without wanting to get carried away...depending on Blackburn's result tonight, a win could move us up to 2nd or 3rd. Manager's comments and team news to go up when on the official, and as always, enjoy if you'll be there and... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Wasn’t going to go to this one. Now looking at train times….. COME ON YOU Rsssss Cheers Dave. oh yeah…..Robbie James.
Very sadly for my old man, he has COVID and so can't go to this game. Very positively for me, I am taking his ST for this game and can't wait. Come on you Rs!
Im praying for us to turn up and put in a good performance, I know we keep finding a way to nick games but we have to start putting teams to the sword with improved displays. This is the sort of game we've come undone so many times in recent seasons, hoping it's not the case this time round. Fully expect Chas and Gray to start upfront for this one as Gray will be missing for at least the next game due to Internationals, you couldn't make it up. Come on u rrrrr'ssss let's batter these swans !
Wish l was able to turn up as well but someone has put a couple of thousand klms in front of me, an international flight, throw in some passport and Covid checks, an Aussie accent with a few G’Days to disrupt the process and l’m almost there! C’om you R’rrssss!
Aug 2012 was painful! High hopes of doing so well and brought down to earth, not with a bump but a major crash. I wonder what will be different this time if we make it to the PL?
Ah, snap! I have the dreaded virus too. Thankfully not ill and hopefully out of isolation in time for Saturday. DIY time!
It happened against Bolton at home (0-4?) at the start of the other season back in the Premier League. Horrible.
I'd hope there will be two main differences. (1) Would be our expectations. No 'bump back to down to earth' as the fans might have their feet a little more firmly on the ground to start with. (2) Owners using the PL money as a chance to buy the best championship / L1 talent, putting us in a position to have a fair crack at the PL, but be entirely prepared for another promotion push upon likely relegation. But getting more than a little ahead of ourselves here...
