Match preview;
This Saturday Swansea City visit the Kiyan Prince for a post-Christmas game that brings back fond memories for some. I loved the 2010 win, that team showed what they could do and I remember being so full of optimism after that game. How things can change in 10 years.

Swansea currently sit 3rd in the league, 2 points from an automatic promotion spot. Their main threats are obvious in their top scorers...André Ayew (7 goals) and Jamal Lowe (5 goals). In Steve Cooper, they have a manager with a history of working with young players to help them develop. He managed the Liverpool under 18 side, a team that included Raheem Sterling and Trent Alexandre-Arnold.

As for us, we need points and fast. Only 4 points from the drop zone and without a win in far too long. It's against tough opposition and so a win is asking a lot...but at some point very soon the ship that is Queens Park Rangers has to start turning, or it'll be too late. Let's hope the Swans all get completely wasted and over eat on Christmas Day, in celebration of how well they are doing...and turn up in London totally out of shape.

Enjoy those who are watching, and if anyone is going (can't keep up with what is and isn't allowed at the moment)...and to one and all, I wish you a very Merry Christmas!

I'm not looking forward to this at all. My only hope is that the Swans have an off day like they did against Wayne Rooney's Derby, which they lost 2-0.
I've just looked, we have Norwich away next Tuesday as well. What a tough end to the year.

It really is. Chance to end the year on a real high and burst into 2021 or a real chance we end with two defeats...and stumble into 2021 in a bit of a mess. Hoping for the first option, but know the second is, sadly, more likely.

Beat them 5-l less than a year ago, in the Cup too. Warburton should be re-running that one after training every day til Saturday, non stop Saturday morning.

The extra rest and novelty of a day or two on the training ground will have done the players good.

Since Bristol City we’ve gone from undeservedly poor results predominantly playing reasonably positive football to deservedly poor results playing for draws, which has got him out of a rut before so understandable but we don’t have the players for it this time.

He’s probably got three games to keep his job so you’d like to think he’ll go out on his shield.

Failing that, if looking for optimism, they’ve got ****ing Bidwell at wing-back so how good can they really be?

I'm actually wondering if this season will get put on hold again at some point, due to the new virus strain. :emoticon-0138-think

You just know that will happen the minute we go into the bottom 3 and then the EFL says they are the final positions..........
