I reckon you could take a chunk of fans from any team and get exactly the same comments about pretty much any other team. There’s ignorance everywhere.
After seeing our performances over the past year, I can quite appreciate how anyone might question why we would go to watch QPR.
Like every fan, perhaps with the exception of those going to see some of the top premiership teams, your given team is somehow embedded, you are emotionally invested and are generally powerless to walk away. It’s why the Stadium of Light would still roar when Fleetwood were in town a few years back and it’s why Loftus Rd will still fill up against Sunderland when that team is bossing the league and we’ve won once at home in a year.
I would question that if these lads cannot appreciate that and it doesn’t resonate with how they feel about their team, are they true (Sunderland) fans themselves or just attention seeking cretins with a YouTube account?
