Got to empathise with them, we've all had the bad years. In the end the fans 'own' their clubs, the 'owners' are just guardians

It’s interesting to hear JS now, he never looks for the limelight and is always talking about the players - feels much less about him than the last few managers we have had (and that includes Marti).
He coped with that Cov result incredibly well and the team and management have improved us immeasurably since then.
They, and we, know there is still plenty of room for improvement too.
Interesting next few weeks/months to see how far we can go.
Meanwhile let’s enjoy!!

Maybe its less French arrogance and simply a more professional approach - no cult of personality

But you really want it to be the French arrogance don’t you? ;)

He’s a refreshing change after Grade A ‘look at me, look at me!’ merchants like Cifuentes, Ainsworth, Beale, Holloway, Colin, Redknapp etc etc …we’ve had our share of attention divas.

Holloway is a bit harsh mate

Yeah sort of, playing up to the stereotype

Actually a manager who gets the job done, minimal fuss, that would a welcome change

I think they call it 'Arsenal'

Do find it a bit grating when trendy young managers in cool clothes join in the post-match celebrations too much. They should be hard bastards in M&S suits or stuff from the club shop and angry about 97% of the time.

Was travelling long haul yesterday, so only managed to catch up today. Thanks QPR, you've made my weekend delightful.

I loved the comparison of Vale's goal to Zamora's :emoticon-0137-clapp

Did you seen Neandethal Jones celebrating yesterday like he'd won the Champions League :emoticon-0119-puke:

Heard it all now... apparently we won because the grass was too long for Stoke <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Hahaha … I read that today. Complaining about the grass; complaining about Mbengue.
Couldn’t find a mention for the kick-out made against Mbengue by their striker that should have been a possible red card.
But hey … we won, happy days Mr Robbins :emoticon-0105-wink:

I haven't seen the Mbengue challenge replayed, but in real time I thought it was just a full-blooded 50:50 with their man coming off worse. The ref saw it the same way, it seems.

The stills floating around make it look a lot worse than it was...

Watching on the stream, Lee Cook thought it was a red at first too, but when you see the whole thing it's fairly obvious both players went in full blooded, the ball squirmed away and Pearson came off worse...didn't stop him from playing on though so not that badly hurt! Many a ref would have shown a red instantly, especially being hounded by Stoke players but he shooed them all away and called the captains over, looked like he was explaining his decision to them then awarded the drop ball. About time we got a homer ref for once!

Pearson is hysterical, a candidate for weight loss injections and a loose cannon. He was subbed after being booked for hacking Burrell down a couple of minutes after the long delay for his life threatening injury.

Love the guy, however he will break whatever the card record in a season is at QPR by Xmas

Wasn't a bad watch on Steelsy+. With all the possession Stoke had, thought most of it was p*ssballing in their own half. Loved that they copied our goalkick routine although I thought they managed our press pretty well without getting out of their half. Second half was the better watch and Saito and Vane were immense at times. Madsen did some solid work didn't look like the scared rabbit that we've seen in the past - looks a proper player tbf. Love Mbengue - he's a machine, but will get sent off a couple of times this season. Hopefully in the last 10 when we are 3 or 4 up. I thought everyone stood up well and adapted to their threats when they came. A solid 7.5/10
There's definitely goals in this team and with some compusure, we could have easily won 4-2 (a very QPR Stoke score scoreline).
Best stream I've had for a while, no interruptions at all.
Onto Hillsborough, hopefully we'll get somethring from Bannan and the academy boys
