Personally thought Norrington-Davies did better with his speedy winger than Dunne did.

But accept Dunne had a lot of captaining to keep his excitable team in check today
Had to watch it on Steely+ today.
Realised how much Dunne was involved with the ref, in his ear on decisions, calming players down, seperating them. Not sure he had time to play the game.

Woke to a win at Stoke, great news!!!!

Looks like we’re one of the Championship heavy weights now, ha!

Have a great day people!

We’re being seen by opposition teams as a robust, quick, ****housey team who you need to be on it physically to beat. After spending most of the last 30 years being soft as ****e and slower than rust that is nice and gives us a better chance against the better sides.

It’s a real shame the run has to end next week with a Barry Bannan 200 yard shot from the tram stop deflecting in off the corner flag.

Is that what Coventry said?!

Thought it was interesting what JS said about subs. I was yelling to bring on Frey, Dembele and Morgan for Vale, Kone and Burrell as they all had run themselves into the ground, however sometimes does disrupt how well a team is doing

It’s great that he considers them fit enough to last. The first four games the majority of the team was dead on their feet after an hour. Expect when we start getting into runs of games with midweek fixtures it’ll change but there are some signs of both good coaching and vast improvements in fitness which suggests people behind the scenes know what they’re doing.

But still very early days and people will inevitably get a bit overexcited. There’s a great opportunity to notch two more wins in a row but we’ll see what this lot are really about after that.

Yes JS said expect changes to manage the 3 game week. Hopefully if Chair and Poku are back as well starting to look like a decent squad to rotate with

It’s interesting to hear JS now, he never looks for the limelight and is always talking about the players - feels much less about him than the last few managers we have had (and that includes Marti).
He coped with that Cov result incredibly well and the team and management have improved us immeasurably since then.
They, and we, know there is still plenty of room for improvement too.
Interesting next few weeks/months to see how far we can go.
Meanwhile let’s enjoy!!
