It might be a good idea to play Rodwell, he's been showing signs of improvement and it's a chance for him to put in a good performance.
Will he be fit? Didn't even make the bench Sunday did he? All the PVA stuff I've not paid attention to other injuries.
I don't know mate, I've well and truly lost track of injuries. Just had a check and there's no news of any Rodwell injury. Apparently with eight we've got the most injuries in the league which is hardly a mind blowing bombshell.
We need to try a new formation out though like 3-5-2, Kahzri needs to start because I don't know why Moyes won't play him. safc83 is a very good picked team and we could start a complete different team from Sunday with the size of the squad. I would have Defoe, and the new £13m signing on the bench though, and no extra time.
Literally couldn't give a **** about this game and think going out would be beneficial. That said cup runs can be a nice distraction.
I think so too given the ravaged nature of the squad. Feels odd to not be bothered about winning a match but we need the first team wrapped in cotton wool for now, we've just got too many injuries to be swanning about in the cups. It's bordering on an emergency how many players are injured or unfit.
Ive no idea what team he is going to put out. Probably one with Watmore. Rodwell and Gooch. I also wouldnt be suprised to see O Shea.
I hope Rodwell gets his wish to play CB. If he doesn't play there tomorrow, then that is not a project currently under Moyes consideration.
Don't get me wrong, I always want us to win, never want us to lose, this is just one that wouldn't vote either way and either result carries a positive.
I'm guessing that he'll play our strongest eleven, they nearly always do. If nobody gets injured then it's a gamble that pays off.
I hope he plays centre mid, we win comfortably, his (and our) confidence is given a massive boost, and that it kick starts a period of him being a midfield collosus for us
We have no first team strikers fit for this game. I don't know if Asoro is fit either. Maja is the clubs only choice. I would play Djellybaby, Mika, Rodwell and JOS. Fill the rest of the places with the young 'uns. If needed, Kirchhoff could have a fitness building half hour with Catts. Sadly, I don't mind going out of this cup. We need to get to the January window without being too far adrift at the bottom. That's the reality of our situation.
Pickford in goal. The lad will want to play every minute of every game and so he should. Mika to start if Moyes wants a proper look at him but if we go 3 down in 20 minutes it isn`t going to help anybody. With the possible exception of QPR of course. Same back line of Manquillo, Kone, Papy & PvA.. They are showing promise and the more time they play together the better their understanding will get. Midfield of Kirchhoff and Catts. Both need playing time. Catts was (understandably) a yard off the pace. 60 minutes would do them both good. The sharp ends a bugger though. Nothing to choose from. Zorro at the front if he`s fit, Maja if he isn`t. Behind him, Watmore, Gooch and Pienaar. If Khazri is ill with a bug or whatever let`s hope it`s something useful and helps him shed a bit of weight. Something like dysentery perhaps. That`s my initial drivel on the subject. Of course I may change my mind completely after a small sherry or two.

The striker, who has found the net twice this season, will instead focus on ensuring he is available for selection when the Black Cats host Crystal Palace on Saturday. Manager David Moyes also confirmed that Victor Anichebe isn’t ready to play a part at Loftus Road, with a young side expected to take on the Championship side. “Jermain took a bit of an injury in the game – he’s got a knock – so he won’t go and more importantly I need to make sure he’s fit for the game at the weekend. “Victor isn’t ready to play yet but he’s stepped up his training and he’s getting much closer to match fitness.” He continued: “There will be some young boys involved but we’ve already had players such as Duncan Watmore, Lynden Gooch and Jordan Pickford play well. “We have a young team so the addition of players like Lee Cattermole, Jan Kirchhoff and Steven Pienaar has given us more experience, but we’ve had a young side for most of the season and it will be the same tomorrow evening.” Got my tickets - Ha'way the lads
