I returned to Loftus Road Nov 23rd 2013 after an absence of 37 years (from Canada) to watch us beat Charlton Athletic 1-0 thanks to a Charlie Austin "rocket" wonder goal. I was a guest of Finglas and after a ground tour was wined and dined before the match at the Crown & Sceptre, interviewed by the Independent R's, Simon put an article about me in the official program, was presented with an R's official team away shirt of that era (Dennis the Menace) and then celebrated our victory at the Coningham Arms with Finglas and the Irish R's with plentiful draft Guinness and Bushmills Black Bush Irish Whiskey. What a wonderful day out. Before the ground tour taking in the atmosphere of the back street behind the stadium, I spoke to an older gentleman who grew up on the same street as my Grandfather, Shirland? If there's gin on the table, l'm about to catch my flight now!
Haven't been to see us play Norwich ...................................then again, haven't seen us play anyone live in 55 years! There's always the first time, though.
Think l'd rather Loftus Road, somehow. Hope everyone has a great day out & we snag it.
Dad used to make Sloe Gin from berries we picked as a family (from the Blackthorn?) Very easy, prick all the berries, add gin and castor sugar, shake in large kilner jar everyday for 3 months, then decant for Christmas, was excellent.Nice one Dave, I've flown in for this one hoping for a New Years Day Budgie massacre

End of Jan I thought. No sloe gin.
I once had a box of liqueur chocolate confiscated ..by a steward. So not risking sloe gin
On a different tact.. Has Hamers short term contract expired...anyone know?
No mention of him resigning.
It obviously could be a rolling contract though
