Looking at their first goal it looks like Colback is pulled back and that just stops him getting to the ball before their lad shoots.........

Another point and now we are 3pts, and less, from 3 teams now. We’re eaking our way to a safer place.
This squad now just needs to believe in themselves.
4 without a loss, let’s keep it going and get a win on Wednesday. C’mon….

Well...

Firstly, Willock is supposed to be more of an attacking midfielder or dribbler and shooter. Smyth is a classic winger and is expected to cross more than shoot.

Secondly, Willock has had more time on the pitch. Smyth, if lucky, gets 10 mins at the end of a match.

Smyth has turned games. Willock has rarely done that.
I’m not disagreeing at all but I get why he picks Willock. He was weak and ineffective again today IMO. Fluffed what looked like a good chance early on. Full-backs prefer playing him than Smyth I’m sure.

Real shame we couldn't nick a winner and get out of the pesky bottom 3. In rge end a good point from a losing position, great for Frey to score so soon and Andersen looks a player. Thank **** Saints came back against Huddersfield who must be gutted. Got to go to Stoke and stuff the ****ers, they are right in it if we can ! Come on u rrrr's

We would not have drawn that match or scored 2 goals if it was played 3 or 4 months ago. It's actually a good result and we could have won it.

Their second goal was virtually a giveaway. We just let them pass it around so easily.

A lot of people around me at the match thought the ref was awful. I actually disagree. I thought he was good. If you think about the difference between us and Norwich in how we applied pressure, we were always going in with the foot. We weren't composed in our challenges and committed unnecessarily at times.

In contrast, Norwich were really composed and calm in how they tried to pressure us when we were on the ball. Very seldom did they fly in for a challenge. I think this is why the ref gave so many decisions their way.

I did think some of our challenges were silly and we would be better served with a little more patience.

My other reflection is that the arrival of Anderson, Hodge and Hayden hopefully means we're less reliant on Chair, who I think is brilliant but can try to overdo - probably because he's had too previously. Wouldn't mind seeing him shoot less now, and perhaps even get a rest in an upcoming game to make an impact from the bench like he did in that game when he came on at HT.
