Get Mark Hughes in
Apparently he's never been relegated

The postman and guy next door quote was a bit tongue in cheek BUT having experienced the whole coaching process first hand then it honestly isnt as a ridiculous comment as it reads. Just because somebody played football (to a high level) doesn't make their opinions any more qualified than the guy who turns out for his Sunday league club. I have become so disalusioned with the footballing set up in this country that I constantly consider calling it a day. What took me over 9 months to gain my UEFA b coaching badge took 2 ex professionals on my course 2 weeks. Both in my opinion were not very good at getting their points or messages across and the best candidate on that course is now a butcher. He couldn't get a job anywhere yet the sessions he put on were fantastic. My point is this, why is football management (excluding Mark warbuton) only open to ex professionals? Could some of us pick a better formation and team for QPR? Could we gain more than one away win in God knows how long? I believe I could, I believe the guy who manages my local amateur team could. Why I hear you ask? Because football is a game based on the opinions of each individual person in charge. It's 11 v11 no matter what standard. Its who can score more than the opposition. Its basics and its as easy or hard as you make it. The difference being between standards is financial clout and the ability to sign better standard players ie man city compared to colchester. Then it becomes relative to the standard of opposition you play week in week out. It's how you set your team up and how you select the players to play in that set up. I know what i would do, my son knows what he would do Holloway knows what he would do. In my opinion hollways isnt working. Would mine? Unfortunately due to not being an ex professional I will never know.Well I think there’s a pattern with our fan base at times. The current culture of football means we all watch it on TV and from that draw strange conclusions. As a QPR fan it’s fair to say that we have been more down than up recently.
People next door or a postman could not do a better job that of course is as daft as it gets but I respect the frustration.
This current team is fine enough to stay in this division even if it comes down to the last game of the season. We are not adrift by a large enough margin to ever get me worried especially not when there are and will be plenty of opportunities to secure our championship status.
Disgruntled fans need to work on themselves imo. We are will not be a club ready to play at the highest level in the U.K. for many many seasons. The second and third tiers of the premiership don’t excite me in terms of football whatsoever. The money trap is looking more and more less sustainable
I prefer to look at our club as a club built around people associated with our history and legacy. For me that is the true value of the very stylish club called QPR .
I certainly do not want another adventure like we have had recently. I warned against it at the time and still stand by that.
Thankfully we didn’t ever sign that £20m player I was dreading but that didn’t stop some dreadful financial cock ups
Disappointed with the result yesterday but it’s over for another year
Didn’t see the match yesterday so cannot comment. Don’t give a **** about Mark Hughes as well ... he will be back in management soon enough as he is a fair manager and will be successful somewhere else.
I honestly can't see what ian is trying to do, i believe he doesnt know himself. To class the midfield as excellent is a bit over the top. Good yes but excellent no. Defence is average at best and if it wasn't for smithies superb season (which says it all) then we may have conceded nearly double what we have.As a footballing bloke Bob surely you can see that there is something there in what IH is doing? We have a excellent midfield and defence at last but simply have no real goal threat
To me that’s a massive improvement of our clubs last few years. He is building and must be given a sustained period of a few seasons to re grow. Simple as that for me and I am hoping that with the new fresh faces of youth being tried out now we can put together a few points now.
Tearing anything up imo is not a solution for real reward. I want our club to grow with people who see their jobs as more than just careers in football. If IH does go then I would want someone with exactly the same amount of passion for QPR as he currently honestly shows. I would love to see GF at the club
The more the merrier for me
I watch a massive amount of French football and it’s easy to see the excellent production line of players and management that serves the U.K. market but give me a QPR man anyday to control our club.
Having played in France a fair bit in the past I of course love how they play the game. It still is that revolutionary even today but not suitable for a club like us. Most I know on here won’t get that but no worries
Bob this is the only fact you need to look at or believe..I honestly can't see what ian is trying to do, i believe he doesnt know himself. To class the midfield as excellent is a bit over the top. It's truly shocking and anyone who thinks it' acceptable truly shocks meBob this is the only fact you need to look at or believe..
This season:
18th
6 wins in 25
1 win in 10
26 goals in 25
Holloway's overall record:
58 matches
17 wins
29 defeats
7 clean sheets
1 win in 19 games away
It doesn't matter if you are talking to Messi or some postman living in the South Pole. his record does not lie and it is simple not good enough.

That's the problem I have with this! We have a decent enough team to be doing better, so why aren't we?Sorry but our midfield is very good currently
So why do we constantly get out played?Interesting to see your new vision for QPR
Your new Manager and the team he picks

Width is a basic of football. We lack any and when we do have it, it is too deep to be penetrating
Opportunities provided and goals need to be addressed. Width is a basic of football. We lack any and when we do have it, it is too deep to be penetrating. It's not rocket science
Let me try simplify it for you. Our width is in a full back position we obviously shouldn't cross a ball from there. Possesson of the ball is what enables them to progress down that wing. Attacking possesson enables them to get to the by line and then our average left back and the central midfielder being experimented with on the other side can put an attacking cross in. Then when it all breaks down we get outnumbered chasing back. Not clear we are on the same page there
We play wide as wide can get
Wish we could see a heat map to prove my point .
Our final ball is poor at times
Smith is a great asset to the club at the moment so I have faith if we get better balls into the right areas
There are no longer the holes in midfield I once saw
We defend set pieces and corners a lot better
We have an outstanding keeper when called upon
Silly errors costing us still
Effort is 100% all over the pitch
Composure is the key areas is not
Can’t see what more the manager can do
But I have faith he will and the players will learn the hard way that effort and finesse have to be balanced.
This current lot do the full 90
Sincerely happy with the core elements at the moments because of you want stats then we are simply not being outplayed this season. It simply remains to take our chances when they present themselves as it’s costing us in terms of the only stat that matters league position. If some want to generate fear and anxiety with a load of matches left then that’s fine but to use the terminology I read on here shows to me a requirement of deep self enquiry

That's very funny!If QPR were a sheepdog...
