We don’t look like an eleven with a way of playing. During Critchley’s interview at the time of his appointment I believe he said one of his strengths was finding an ethos that fitted the players he had (or words to that effect). I hope this isn’t it. Also, we don’t have any player with that knack of arriving in the box at the right time. I’ve noticed this a few times where a cross or cutback (in this case from Chair early tonight) is behind the guys running in and the midfield is too slow to meet the opportunity. We don’t have that type of player.
It would perhaps be a tad more feisty if his teammates didn’t stand around admiring him and instead made a half-arsed attempt to give him some options.
