Watching on a stream I didn't appreciate just how bloody good those saves were as there were no replays and the the sky Leeds commentator was busy shouting goal and then no how did he miss....he didn't even mention the saves....
Have to say it was a lovely piece of play by them in the build up....
Just love the reaction of furlong and BFG...
Brilliant from Lumley...

THE GOOD... In amongst the Luke Freeman love-in (which was amply justified last night) I just wanted to give Tony Leistner some plaudits for an immense performance. I think our decline has coincided with a drop-off in the very high standards he maintained in the middle part of the season but last night he was back to his very best, dominating the box and giving Leeds nothing from the huge number of set pieces they enjoyed.

THE BAD... Contrary to the opinion of many others I'm sure, I thought that Luongo had yet another poor showing. As ever, he was ludicrously negative with the ball and never seems to be available when players are looking for an option. I know we are capable of winning without a lot of possession but that doesn't mean you consciously give up on holding the ball and invite pressure from opponents. With Luongo at the centre of things that is precisely what happens most games and a few strong tackles don't make up for it.

AND THE UGLY: the faces of Leeds fans on the tube on the way home. Priceless.

Completely agree on Luongo. I didn't see this game, but every time I watch him he's very poor with the ball generally and, as my lad points out, always seems to hide when we have the ball, rather than making himself available.

I’m genuinely amazed any QPR fan who has seen him regularly doesn’t rate him. He’s streets ahead of our other central midfielders who are generally hopeless when he’s not around to carry them.

Yes, Luongo is a vital part of our midfield. Admittedly, passing is not his strongest suit, but he gives us so much in tackling, harrying and closing down the opposition. We're a much more effective side with Luongo playing, I would say..

Luongo and Freeman were absolutely outstanding last night in different and complimentary ways. Luongo is not a DCM like Scowens or Cameron but he disrupts and breaks up the play , regained the ball, plays simple balls and starts attacks. Freeman is much more creative personally and in the team....but boy does he also harry the opposition too, he has an almighty engine.
Cousins last night also played like Luongo, he is regaining his form.

All three were excellent. Whilst Wszolek was excellent in protecting his full back and also wing attack and crossing
Yes I too also wish he could beat players in a winger mode...but the number of defensive tackles and attacking runs and crosses he put in was outstanding. All 4 were outstanding

But for those of you who doubt Luongo, please just watch our goal:- the attacking run Luongo put in to the by-line, the cutback for Freeman to backheel/sidefoot into the net was outstanding.

Completely agree .
Just don't think he's very good with the ball and gives it away far too much.
Excellent for the goal last night mind.

I thought Luongo had a very good game last night too, his ball winning was exceptional, he set up Freeman for the goal, and volleyed a good shot just over.
