Don't upset them till after we've played them Trammers. They have fielded a team that won't have any players in against us and they'll be at home. We have the same squad of 18 players that couldn't beat League 1 opposition last night. I got 40 mins sleep last night solely down to recurring nightmares about Hammeleinen

Nico is not a Championship player - don't think there'll be many on here who'd disagree

Who did we rest? Thought they were all injured?
It really is a strange feeling at the moment. I just can't seem to get into the season for some reason, maybe it's a lack of optimism from myself, maybe a lack of ambition from the club but something just ain't sitting right at the mo.
Very similar here pal. Its the the thought of us without Willock like the end of last season. Just look so poor, shame as Roberts looked good when he came on last night. Armstrong changed the dynamic of the game, suddenly we were pressing and harrying their players and we were moving forward. Both of them should start at the weekend in my eyes but I doubt they will. Thomas is terrible and barely League 1 standard. Nico is just utterly out of his depth, not even Scottish Leaguec1 standard. I'd like to know what complete pilchard decided we should give him a 4 year contract, still 2 more years and we can't literally give him away !

Go and see a game. Hopefully the Mackems match will switch you on. Worked for me last Saturday. For 40 minutes of the first half we were great, better than anything I saw last year. I realise this goes against the orthodox wisdom on here and other QPR fan sites, but I loved it.

The board knows that which makes not getting in proper cover for Paal diabolical. Thomas isn't Championship standard either and Dozzell and Bonne have a long way to go to prove they are. Kakay has improved alot so far this season but shouldn't be 1st choice right back in this league. Without Willock and Amos we look a seriously ordinary side. Prayer mats out its just fatigue with them and Paal

Me too but it was Willock and Amos that were driving us forward and bringing the dynamism we've lacked. Paal had a very good game too. Who can provide what they do when they're out ?

Just saying ...when I saw the team I was happy with it..

It is Beale saying they are injured and not rested that has changed my mind...and everyone elses.

Until I woke up this morning and heard and read what was said. I was content with the match and the outcome.

It is today's hype that has unsettled me and others too

I'm looking forward to it, that's for sure but I'm finding myself uninterested to a certain degree for the first time in a long long time. Hopefully they can give me the kick up the arse I need!

If Nico isn’t a championship player then why is he at the club?

He’s been here 8 years; on loan every year for last few years. He’s 25 and should be storming now.
Ridiculous. Move along and get a prospect who is championship level with higher potential.

Absolutely. We tried our damnest to get him off our books last season and no one wanted him, in the end just going a long way away for a handful of loan games. Yet here we are again and no one still wants him and worse he's now 1st choice left back with Paal out. The recruitment this summer has been disgusting, the club knew we needed left backs and right backs last season and strikers once we released 2. Over 3 weeks ago Beale told us 2 signings were imminent yet here we are and still nothing. Apparently we were getting a right back on loan today , presumably Sterling from Scum but now that's not getting done this week. Why the **** not ? Who Is in charge of this ****show ffs ? Signings, rail standing, new app, it's a horror show behind the scenes. I presume whichever filbert gave Hammerlienen a 4 year deal is behind all of this. Rant over, hurry back Willo and Amos and the others we desperately need you. Come on u rrrrrr's batter the Mackems

Not many are as knowledgeable as you of course Col, but as an idiot who knows nothing about football, even I can see that Willock makes a big difference. Let's just assume he's out until the New Year, then anything less will be a positive.

I know, but keep up the revision and I'm sure you'll learn a thing or two eventually.

Careful mate. The attack dogs will be after you for being all doom and gloom.

I agree 100% with that sentiment, Bob. For me, it's a combination of the new season starting seemingly before the last one has finished, having not replaced the outgoing strikers and the all-too-familiar disappointing performance in cup competition. I get that the club is broke, but find myself increasingly agreeing with those of the opinion that the owners of the club are past their sell-by date. They tried. They failed. Not sure what the plan is henceforth other than that wonderful term 'sustainability', which to me means chug along as a below average, zero ambition club and hope we get lucky somewhere along the line.

Of course, we beat Sunderland and I'll be punching the air and dreaming about a promotion challenge again, but I'm meh about this season at the moment.

It does appear amateur behind the scenes at times

I can't believe Beale would have signed on without knowing what our transfer situation would be and I don't believe Les and Hoos would have intentionally misled him either.

It's easy for us to be armchair experts with regards to transfer deals but none of actually knows what goes into these deals, they clearly aren't easy. We all wanted more deals done by now but then we're QPR fans and we're used to getting virtually a new squad every window.

Mick was unusually down in his last two interviews but they came off the back of a poor team performance and some unexpected injuries. He's brutally honest so it would be weird if he was jumping for joy.

Re Willock he suggested some of the injuries were fatigue related and Chris seemed pretty up in his post Boro interview so fingers crossed its not too bad.

Let's not sign our suicide pacts just yet.
Suicide sounded popular after both Blackburn and Charlton, while huge celebration was the thing for a couple of days inbetween after Boro. All rather OTT me thinks.

We were lucky with our cup run last season, so no surprise about losing last night, surely with season just starting we should be optimistic, great win against Boro. Injuries are weird though, is that 5 first teamers out already?

Read a claim that 5 injuries in a squad at one time is the average across the Leagues. So, if true, this is just normal.
