Dykes has to be more mobile in the box and make space. Another short spell of possession on the left of their box and I can’t see him making himself available. Too pedestrian.
Good bright opening 20 minutes, without really creating anything. They look so solid and we struggled to create anything with Chair and Willock very quiet. Solanke should have scored before he did. Stroud is a complete and utter ****. Not a free kick let alone a yellow. How can he keep being given our games? Tbh, it always felt as though they would eventually pick us off. Last 20 minutes of that half they were charging through the wide open spaces that is our central midfield. Can't really see us getting anything now unless we can start to create some chances somehow.
Think the Stroud rhetoric is a bit OTT and not helping. It was never a yellow but can see why he’d give the foul their way. Apart from that, bit of a nothing half. Lucky to be only one down.
