Disappointing, controlled it until red card & wolves re-adjusted in 2nd half & found space & sloppy 2nd goal, thank gawd for smithies, we just can't play when camera's are there.
All style and no substance from Chery again.
Yep and that Polish lad looks made for feeding the likes of Polter and Sylla.Have to agree with you. I would prefer to see us play with 2 out and out wingers.
Really thought we've been the better team up til when they scored, certainly not lacking in effort. For such an experienced player Perch is a total liability.
Interesting how we all see things differently, I thought they worked their socks off.I didn't see much effort there tonight. I only saw guys going through the motions.

Think you're being a tad harsh there kerry.....no lack of effort from what I saw, far better side when 11 v 11 and apart from 10 minutes or so better side when 10 v 11....
Just lacking that cutting edge inot front of goal....
I think we are underselling ourselves hugely if we are happy with that level of effort. Those guys hardly broke a sweat. I see 5 a side teams play with more passion than what I saw tonight. I just don't think what we saw tonight was acceptable. Why was Holloway going beserk on the sideline pumping his chest?
I don't think we're suggesting it's perfect. The difference is under JFH he'd have let their heads go down and we'd have lost by more without a fight like Newcastle. Holloway kept them going and should / will start to build some never say die attitude that with 11 players can see us push on and achieve results. That's where I see the real difference. Passion and effort are 2 different things........
What we lack is a spine of leaders on the pitch......a hill, derry backbone, we're maybe too nice a side, need an edge to show we won't be bullied....we don't have those characters just now.......
Plus you can't legislate for perch getting himself sent off......as soon as that happened we were always likely to come unstuck even against a crap side like wolves...

cant pass, cant tackle, cant defend. Smithies saved us from a hammering. Chery and Luongo so disappointing. Ned when moved to right back was shocking. A total liability who cant kick the ball straight. That was one of the worst performances i have ever seen from us. Wolves were ****e and we rolled over again.
Will we manage to put out a starting 11 on that basis??I wasn't being critical of Holloway. It showed his passion but also unfortunately a recognition of the lack of passion being shown on the pitch. He is going to need time to weed out those players that are just not up for the fight.
Very frustrating evening. In fact it started as soon as I saw the team sheet - I don't understand why Holloway didn't start any wingers. Particularly Shodipo who has looked lively and a real prospect whenever he has played
Very big game at Rotherham next Saturday
