Garry Monk fears Thursday’s game at Queens Park Rangers will be Wilfried Bony’s last for Swansea.
Bony is a target for injury-hit champions Manchester City after finishing 2014 as the Premier League’s top marksman. His 20 goals in the calendar year have fired him to the top of Manuel Pellegrini’s shopping list.
The Ivory Coast striker will play at Loftus Road on New Year's Day, before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Bony is tied to
the Swans to 2018 but has never hidden his desire to play for a top-four club.
Monk said: “The rumours rumble on, but those are not my concern until something happens.
“I know football, and things can happen quickly and different things come out of the blue, but we are expecting Wilfried to be back with us after the Africa Cup of Nations.
“Wilf will play against QPR and he will have to do as best he can because it’s a chance for Bafetimbi Gomis to show what he can do when he is away.”
It's also reported that Real Madrid are now interested in Bony...
