Phil - probably not, but it would make the EPL take notice. May be a better course of action than calling out Mike Riley as Monk did previously. If anything, that worked against us as things seem to have got worse.......
If Gomis had scored ..... if he'd actually put something on target maybe. You can't score if you don't hit the target and Gomis is about as close to that as the ref is to actually being qualified as a ref ... or Dyer and Routs are to being able to cross
Fully agree, which is why I understand why Gomis started today. We can't expect him to be firing on all cylinders after the odd 15-20 mins here or there. I thought he had a good game, except for scoring, which of course he will be rusty with. It took Bony 8-9 games to get up to speed this and last season.
Big risk if we let Bony go...regardless of how much we may get. We are in a good position to kick on if we strengthen in key areas (DM, LB, RB). However, letting our main goal threat go, without an obvious back up, does not make sense. No matter how many games Gomis plays, I don't think he's the man.
Monk and Huw making the same 'come and get him' noises as in the Summer when they were saying every player has a price.
Whether we let Bony or others go ,I would take a special effort not to survive this season.A point every 2 games keeps us up imo .What a great point against our bad play and apparently , bad reffing ..super !
If they have someone quality in mind that we can get for 15-20M, and get 50M for Bony, then ok. If Man City or Chelsea do come in, maybe it could be a player and cash type of deal...we'll see soon enough!
Its not so bad when you think of the position we are in. We could be like Everton or Arsenal man utd and liverpool who all did not get the results they thought they would
Possibly the worst referee performance ever. Should Monk shout about it and risk 'retribution' though.
Yes, what has he got to lose? We're getting screwed anyway, so I'd go all out and slaughter this ref in the press interviews.
Monk says lineman had the perfect view. Throughout the season these things have happened but he is not allowed to say what he really, really feels. Hopefully, the "right people can see it" "Of course we don't get the decision, which is quite normal for us" Routs could have had his leg broken - he hopes people sees sense, as we haven't had much sense this season.......
I would **** it, it will highlight the incompetent buck of pricks who officiated at the game. Hell I've see some park refs do a better job.
Valley Garry Monk fears Thursday’s game at Queens Park Rangers will be Wilfried Bony’s last for Swansea. Bony is a target for injury-hit champions Manchester City after finishing 2014 as the Premier League’s top marksman. His 20 goals in the calendar year have fired him to the top of Manuel Pellegrini’s shopping list. The Ivory Coast striker will play at Loftus Road on New Year's Day, before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea. Bony is tied to the Swans to 2018 but has never hidden his desire to play for a top-four club. Monk said: “The rumours rumble on, but those are not my concern until something happens. “I know football, and things can happen quickly and different things come out of the blue, but we are expecting Wilfried to be back with us after the Africa Cup of Nations. “Wilf will play against QPR and he will have to do as best he can because it’s a chance for Bafetimbi Gomis to show what he can do when he is away.” It's also reported that Real Madrid are now interested in Bony...
