He lobbed it ( a cleared corner I think) hopefully from just outside the box. The Keeper got a hand to it just over the line. Sort of goal Refs usually don't see when we score them.
That’s why we should be very fearful. No decent striker. Fingers crossed that Eze can hit the ground running when he returns.
At least of the teams who were below us, only Sunderland picked up a point, and Hull 3 pts to leapfrog us on GD. Looking at our -9 GD it would appear that our current standing is justified.
Yep, fully agree kilbs. Those two wins over the blades and wolves were invaluable but since then it's been a slow meander down the table
It was a freak goal Leeds far too strong and although our midfield is fine we have no teeth upfront at the moment. I can only laugh when people mention relegation in Dec
One point out of a possible eighteen in our last six games. Holloway is clueless, he puts a defender ( Hall ) on at 78 mins when we were 2-0 down when you've got Wheeler on the bench. No shots on goal except for Wszolek's fluke which actually wasn't a shot on goal but a hopeful lob into the box. I vowed to stop going after the Derby defeat and feel better for it. The stress levels are lowered.
I repeat, unless we get a decent striker in we will be relying on other results till the end of the season.
No problem Admit a bit down after that as we were very predictable going forward 4 great passes and then a channel punt, held up most times a knock back then a cross to Smith which Leeds were ready for each and every time The ball fell to Leeds players each time following this and they able to mount quick counter attacks Their two first goals came after they took the game away from us and both goals very very well taken There is no doubt we have the spirit and fight in the club enough easily but it’s time to step away from the predictable No need to cross at times there are other ways ... one would be trying to pull the shape out of the other team Robertson looked very good today on the ball
I normally make a handful of games a season. For the first time in quite a few years I've not bothered this season and can't feel the urge changing anytime soon. Days like today are why.
He had just put Sylla on for Bidwell, Scowen was both injured and very close to a 2nd yellow. He'd also brought on Bright Samuel for Chair. If his formation was critic worthy today it would be because it was arguably over adventurous not defensive, with 2 backs getting forward a lot and only Scowen helping Ned and Robinson. I think he should of played Syllla from the start not Conor, but it was the failure of our attackers to score that cost us the game today. Again.
I’m glad you can see the funny side. There is no denying on current form we are relegation material. Thank god for the blip in the middle of our recent slump.
It’s cumulative. We’ve had years of poor performances and it wears you out. I had a season ticket a couple of years ago, then went regularly as a member, now it’s a couple home and a couple away a season. I don’t think we are any worse this year than before, and in some ways better, at least they try and are on less outrageous pay.
