Promotion-chasing Hull City are the visitors to Loftus Road, as Rangers look to begin the New Year with a win in front of their own supporters.
Four draws in five – including three in W12 – have seen the Hoops slip into the bottom half of the Championship, with new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink still searching for his first win in the QPR hot-seat.
Hull, meanwhile, head to town in third place, four points adrift of second placed Derby County.
However, despite their lofty league position, Steve Bruce’s side are without a win on their travels in just under two months.
The Tigers last won on the road against Brentford on November 3rd – a 2-0 win at Griffin Park.
Charlie Austin (hamstring) remains out for Rangers, whilst James Perch (knee) is also a doubt.
Jamie Mackie stepped up his return to fitness with a 63-minute run-out in a behind-closed-doors friendly earlier this week and could be in line to feature in the squad for the first time in over three months.
Bruce is not ruling out the revival of a three-man defence as he attempts to turn around his side's sorry away form in W12.
Although the absence of Michael Dawson limits the scope for change, Moses Odubajo could join Curtis Davies and Harry Maguire in a back three if he recovers from a minor calf injury.
Alex Bruce is also not far away from consideration after a back injury suffered at Leeds three weeks ago.
Abel Hernandez and Mo Diame are in line for recalls to the starting XI.

AS a New Year begins, we find ourselves at the start of a brand new era following our recent appointment of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
In Jimmy, we know we have a man with a huge hunger for success, a real determination to achieve for this football club.
Whilst patience will be required in the early stages as he stamps his philosophies and ideas on the job, Jimmy and his staff, along with the players, are determined to ensure 2016 is a year we can all be rightly proud of when we look back this time next year.
Undoubtedly there will be up’s and down’s along the way in an effort to get the long-term right, but with your unwavering support, we can achieve our goals of building a competitive squad and being a competitive club.
Results have not been as good as any of us would have hoped in 2015, however, we are confident this calendar year will see us make positive, forward strides, both on and off the pitch.
Although we are shareholders at this club, we are also fans. In football, you can’t win them all, but we all live through the lows to be able to truly enjoy the highs and we hope there will be many highs to savour in 2016.
On behalf of the club, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all our supporters good health and happiness in 2016.
Happy New Year.
